As we come to the end of another busy and exciting week at Leigh St Peter's, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our children for their hard work, resilience and positive attitudes as we move ever closer to the end of the school year.

It has been a lovely week in school and, thankfully, the weather has been a little cooler, making it much more comfortable for everyone to learn, play and enjoy the many activities taking place across school.

We have had lots of wonderful celebrations this week. Our Nursery Graduation was a special occasion, marking an important milestone for our youngest children as they prepare for the next stage of their journey. We have also been incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils, who attended their Leavers' Celebration at Manchester Cathedral. It was a fitting opportunity to reflect on their time at Leigh St Peter's and celebrate all they have achieved.

Looking ahead to next week, we are excited for our Move Up Morning on Thursday. This is always a highlight of the summer term, giving children the opportunity to meet their new teacher, spend time with their future classmates and enjoy a taste of the year ahead. The morning is always filled with engaging activities and provides a valuable opportunity for staff and children to begin building positive relationships ready for September.

The morning was filled with joyful singing, inspiring messages from the Bible and thoughtful talks from Year 7 pupils who shared their wisdom, advice and encouraging words about the transition to high school.

Their reflections helped reassure our Year 6 children and gave them valuable insights into the exciting journey ahead.

It was a memorable and uplifting event, giving our pupils time to reflect on their primary school years while looking forward to the next chapter of their education. 💙

After returning to school, the celebrations continued with a special lunch of Domino’s pizza 🍕😋, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 children and wish them every success as they prepare for their move to high school. 🌈⭐

They delighted everyone with their singing, performances and special graduation ceremony, showcasing just how much they have grown and achieved throughout their time in nursery. Congratulations to all of our Nursery Graduates!
