         <title>Phonemic Awareness </title>

Recite the word wall. This is related to writing in that students are exposed to words they will one day write. The teacher should also say the word when it is quiet so all hear proper pronunciation.</div><div><em><br></em><br></div>]]></description>

Use whatever tangible you have in the classroom. Have students say the words they created either isolated or in a sentence. Then, they write the word down. A way to differentiate is varying how much writing is asked of each student.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Mark each time there is an error. Use the information gleaned in assessment to guide instruction. Words that were mispronounced can be written.<br>The above mentioned is an assessment. A wonderful class activity is  choral reading.<br><br></div>]]></description>

The entire school year is organized into 12-15 units. Each unit has 10-20 words that students master in 5-7 school days. Activities in each unit include <em>vocabulary in context </em>reading and writing assignments<em> </em>and <em>synonym </em>and <em>antonym identification</em>. There is also a computer program which students really like.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

After reading, students must answer questions. In order to answer the questions right, they must have understood what was read. Some questions are multiple choice.
