- Getting the agenda before the meeting so we can know what is expected of us for this meeting. As well as a heads up of any student work we need to bring.
- At my other job end meetings with a grow and a glow for each team member. Sometimes there is both or none, but is nice to have a safe space to share these thoughts as a team.

I know once school starts, this can often be tough because we're thinking about our next class or copies we have to make - but being present, being here on time, trying to be following the agenda.

We've made an effort to use "asset-based" language instead of "deficit-based" language when talking about kids. I think we try to help each other see kids as 3-dimensional people, with their own strengths, knowledge, and potential.

Identifying who in the group has good relationships with which scholars so you know who to go to for guidance if you struggle building that relationship in your own classroom

Some norms I have for the meeting are collaborative exercises, respect of other ideas, flexibility and adaptability to try new things.

In order for the meeting space to feel supportive and productive I would like the meeting to feel beneficial and fun rather than just another obligation.

Follow Through

One of the most important things for a functioning team is follow through — being able to trust that what we agree to do will actually happen. That also means we have to be realistic about the limits of our time and energy.

Getting an agenda ahead of time and reminders for tasks that should be completed before a meeting is always appreciated! I find that it helps with keeping meetings running smoothly
