I think he would feel really, really hurt that someone would write such things about him, not only that but A PLAY! Most kings back then where quite brutal knowing it was the 15th century. I think the play is fine, and since it is a work of purely fiction, it should still exist. It’s very entertaining and interesting, although not accurate. I think what would be more important is for people to be told that Shakespeare’s play is made up, so they don’t go around believing false things.
I think Richard III is just like all other kings from the past. They were usually all power hungry, wanting more and more, and not bringing themselves to care about commoners and peasants who were starving. I think the play should exist.
But I personally think that it should not have been written about him. I think that the play could have been written without bringing a real king into it. If Shakespeare didn’t like history then why did he use it for his plays!?

Because it sends out the wrong message about who he is as a person. I think the Shakespeare version of Richard III is a horrible person and i am quite glad he is a fictional character that is not fully based on someone real. I think the play should exist! It’s defiantly one of Shakespeare's successful ones and it’s really interesting! I really enjoyed reading it :) 

I think, in general, Richard lll is a good guy and I respect his values. In the play, yes he might be a manipulative person murder, liar, just bad person overall, the way he commits these crimes were very fascinating so I guess I like him in the play as well. :)

I think Richard III wouldn’t be pleased of the lies the story tells, maybe a bit irritated and annoyed because it isn’t true and because the book says he’s a bad guy when he really isn’t. I also think he would feel devastated to be framed of a murder when he was just 3 years old!

I personally like Richard.
I think he is quite the comedian and he finds his way around things. I love how he is so dramatic and so selfish in a funny joking way. He seems to know what he is doing and has mostly self confidence. I love how he pretends to decline the thrown while people are begging for him to become king so he doesn’t sound desperate. In reality, he did not cause all the chaos and slaughtering, so I think Richard would have felt extremely frustrated because Shakespeare wrote mostly lies. He would have also felt angry that his reputation left behind when he died was twisted into different words, that were not his own. although Shakespeare’s representation of Richard was poorly executed, he wasn’t a saint because in those times, life was very brutal and most kings were similar to the people in the play. 

I think the play should still exist, as many centuries have past on   and it is only to entertain people. For example, in the news people write fake news, which hooks people in. That is also what Shakespeare was trying to achieve, amuse people. It is also an important part of history that portrays the times back then and also a small bit about Richard. 

In the book, Richard is set out to be a physcopath that murders people, but the succession for the throne in those days was very difficult to achieve, so it as just like a game of survival and a competition. I feel like I understand him because of the circumstances he was in, but in the book he shouldn’t have created all the mess. In real life, I feel sympathetic for him as he, but it was just a play, so in the end I don’t feel anything.
