         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hello , my name is Helia , I'm 34 years old, and I'm Portuguese.</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">I taught in 10 diferents Portuguese schools, since 2004, </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">from the North to South of the country (Braga, Vizela, Ponte de Lima, Olhão, </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">Albufeira e Aljezur).This school year I'm teaching in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">Island - Azores.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">I have experience in basic and middle school, both at the </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">subject of ICT and specific disciplines of vocational courses in computer </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">science.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">I love what I do.</span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My school is located in the city of Ponta Delgada on the island of S. Miguel - Azores. </p><p>The school has about 900 students divided by middle and high school.
The school has three IT classroom. Each classroom is equipped with 14 computers, projector, interactive whiteboard and Internet. We don’t have tablets yet.

Collaborative Learning</p><ul><li>Group of two or more students.&nbsp;</li><li>Students try to search, to understand a topic, find solutions to a given problem, or create a product together.</li><li>Collaboration is a skill in it self that needs to be learned and that requires plans and guides by the teacher.</li><li>It put students and they collective learning experience at the center of learning.</li><li>Students interact and share ideas knowledge and resources with peers. That way they that way they gain experience in conflict resolutions, self criticism, self evaluation and self reflection.</li><li>Can support students to develop a number of XXI century competencies:</li></ul><ol><ol><li>communication skills</li><li>personal skills</li><li>collective problems solving skills</li><li>cooperation</li><li>teamwork</li><li>leadership</li></ol></ol><p>B. Roles of students and teacher:</p><p><b>ROLE OF STUDENT &nbsp;</b></p><p>observer</p><p>reporter</p><p>challenger</p><p>presenter</p><p>lider</p><p>mediator in case of conflit</p>
<p><b>Task to the students: </b></p><p>Listen to other and establish common goals</p><p>Assign and carry out different roles and teams corresponding to their skill and interests</p><p>search and share resources </p><p>assess their own work and then of others</p><p>They need to switch between individual and collaborative tasks. 
</p>
<p><b>People to collaborate with can be:</b></p><p>students of the class or of the school</p><p>students of other schools</p><p>teachers</p><p>experts out of the school </p>
<p>Develop and present a product as the outcome of the group work </p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>ROLE OF TEACHER</b></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> - Support the process as adviser and time-keeper of the process.</span></p><div><span style="font-size: 13px;"> - Encourage the students to assess their own work and that of others, and to reflect on what they have achieved at various stages of the collaboration.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 13px;"> - Regular meetings with each group</span></div><div> - Enable a physical learning environment or online learning environment - collaborative work after school.<br><div>
