Did not just make the French mad when they already had so many Indian friends and were establishing themselves in the Ohio river valley. Not a disaster at all on George Washington's part. We know him. There seems to be some disagreement on whether or not to hate him. Let's settle it. He impressed us into service, forced us to give up supplies, and pushed soldiers into our homes after over 2 years fighting on our own. time to. He took time to bring in large numbers of troops from Britain. People of the colonies have had to just get by without whatever supplies were taken from them, and NOW he's reimbursing? Too little too late. The colonial public agrees, just look how recruitment rates shot up when he gave control back to us.
