Definition:
Confirmation bias is when a group or individual believes in a certain theory because they strongly support it and will not consider any other theories or ideas even though they might be equally as possible. They try to convince everyone that they are right when they may be providing false information simply because they support their theory so strongly.
Connection:
This video is an example of how the government tries to make people believe certain ideas where many people are sceptical of these ideas and have there own opinion on these theories.

Some believe that these ancient methods are the only medicine needed in curing these types of diseases.
Connection:
This website is a great example of Ancient Wisdom as it states that all diseases come from the spine.

Definition:
Appeal to Authority is when a powerful person or company promotes a product or forces something to be taken into action. These forces are of huge influence so their actions are taken seriously even though they may be irrelevant.
Connection:
For example using Michael Jordan, one of the most famous basketball players in the World to sell Basketball shoes. People see Michael Jordan wearing the shoes so they immediately want them. If a regular person opened up a shoe company and called them Jordan's, without the celebrity endorsement, the company would most likely not make it very far.

Ideas and opinions are thrown everywhere without any actual proof or facts.
Connection:
This article shows how false information is implemented more and more in today's news and it is a good example of a Red Herring. This false information misleads people and causes them to believe facts that aren't necessarily true.

Definition:
Government or other large organizations withholding information from the public. They believe this information is too secret or too valuable to be released to the general public so the information is kept secret for the benefit of society.
Connection:
This video is a good example of some of the information that the government has yet to release to society. It sows that there are still a lot of things that can't be explained and are better off kept secret. This is why this video is a good example of suppression by authorities.

If you look at it quickly, you won't notice the pattern, but once you focus on it, you will be able to see the resemblance of the face in the sink.

People would rather believe the more simple explanation than the complicated one. This is why there is a lot of controversy with unexplained topics because there are many people who either believe or don't believe in the subject.
Connection:
This video is a good example of the unexplained as it gives a list of the many conspiracy theories of all time that still go on unexplained. Conspiracy theories are also a popular topic because many of them are still unexplained so there is a lot of controversy over what is the right solution.
