Misdemeanors is a lesser wrong like traffic violation. Small claims cases are cases that are settled for little to no cost. Civil cases are like lawsuits.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Florida's Supreme Court is made up of seven Justices. The Original Jurisdiction cases are cases being heard for the first time in the supreme court. The appellate Jurisdiction is when cases are being reviewed by the Federal Supreme Court.<br><br>The constitutional questions are answered from judges that make assumptions based off the constitution as their final answer.<br>Capital cases are cases that deal with the death penalty.<br><br>Bond validations is a result of having a court validate the issuer's authority to incur bond dept.<br><br>Public cases are cases like water and sewer and FPL.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>For adoption, If an adoptee wants to give consent to be adopted, they must fill out a form if they are twelve years old and older. It must be signed in the presence of a notary public or deputy clerk and two witnesses other than notary public or deputy clerk. If the birth parents want to give their child up for adoption they must sign a form that states the parents are giving up all rights to, custody of, and time-sharing with the minor child to be adopted.<br><br>Child Custody<br> A parenting Plan is required in all cases involving  time-sharing with minor child(ren) even when time-sharing is not in dispute.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The eight divisions of the circuit court are: Civil, Criminal, Family, Appellate, Probate and Gaurdianship, Unified Children's Court, Traffic, and Domestic Violence.<br><br>Civil Court<br>The type of cases the civil court deals with are cases like cases with damages in excess of $15,000 filed by an individual, business or government agency.<br><br>Criminal Court <br>Cirminal Court hears major criminal (felony) cases where the resulting penalty can be imprisonment in a state penitentiary or death.<br><br>Family Court<br> Family Court deals with cases thag involves divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, paternity, name change, and some domestic violence injunction cases.<br><br>Appellate Court<br>The Appellate Court deals with cases that is appealed from the county court and from various quasi-judicial boards and administrative agencies.<br><br>Probate and Guardianship Court<br>The Probate Division hears cases related to the processing of wills and the settling of estates, as well as guardianship and mental health cases.<br><br>Unified Children's Court<br>The Unified Children’s Court has jurisdiction to handle related family law matters (Family, Juvenile Dependency and Delinquency, and Domestic Violence Injunction cases) in multiple parts of the court system (sometimes referred to as “crossover” cases).<br><br>Traffic Court<br>The Traffic Court deals with civil traffic infractions. Accidents with injuries and criminal traffic charges are heard in the County Criminal Division.<br><br>Domestic Violence Court<br>The Domestic Violence Division have cases like  domestic violence-related misdemeanors, injunction violations, and injunction for protection cases.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Web reporting instructions<br>Prospective jurors must check what jury pool matches accordance to their Jury Summons location.<br><br>Telephone Reporting Instructions<br>Jurors must call the telephone number indicated after 5 p.m. the friday  before their start date for recorded instructions on when to report. <br><br>Receiving a Jury Summons<br>The summons contains a juror badge, information regarding excusing or postponing service, payment and parking instructions.<br><br>Lost Jury Summons<br>If you have lost or misplaced your jury summons, please contact 786-828-5879 for assistance, Monday through Friday, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please have your Florida Driver's License number or Florida Identification card number available so that the jury pool staff can assist you with your jury service information and determine where you are to report.<br><br>Attire and Dining<br>Dress in appropriate business attire.  Bring a jacket or sweater due to building temperature variations. No shorts or uniforms. A cafeteria/snack bar is located inside either courthouse on the first floor and also inside the jury pool assembly rooms. For those bringing their lunch, a refrigerator and microwave are available in the Jury office at either courthouse.<br><br>Length of Service<br>The State of Florida utilizes a one day/one trial jury management system. If you are not selected to serve on a trial or in an ongoing selection by at the end of the first day, you will not have to report again the next day. However, if on your first day, you are selected on a trial, or in a selection process, you must serve until the end of the trial selection process or until the judge indicates that you are no longer needed. The average length of a jury trial in Miami-Dade County is three days.</div>]]></description>
