         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Advocacy has many levels</strong></p><p>Be aware that advocacy has many levels:</p><ul><li><p>Local-national-European</p></li><li><p>External advocacy/Internal advocacy</p></li><li><p>Curriculum development, policy papers, but also practical examples like Eudamus</p></li></ul><p>Politicians may in some cases better understand by experiencing rather than reading about it (show it, don't tell it).</p><p>We must not forget to integrate our sector into the larger societal agendas.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Advocacy processes can be different</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bottom-up or top-down or a combination.</p></li><li><p>It is important to include the educational practitioners.</p></li><li><p>How can the sector speak with one, strong voice?</p></li><li><p>Sometimes it is important to communicate the big vision, sometimes you are more successful by showing the next, little important step</p><p><br/></p></li></ul><p><strong>Communication and making advocacy is a profession in itself</strong></p><ul><li><p>Gain visbility through effective communication (framing, priming, tone of voice etc.)</p></li><li><p>Do not tell what you need from the politicians but ask how you can help.</p></li><li><p>Get inspired by AEC’s advocacy toolkit and template, see Padlet</p></li></ul>]]></description>
