I have no idea what to do about this course during pre-registration. I had the impression that this course would teach me how to lead, but it went beyond what I expected. When researching each subject studied for this course, I was surprised and honestly looking forward to it. I had never given much attention to leadership or how it might be taught and learned more widely until this class. For example, if before this, I only knew about power. After studying this subject, I found that power can be divided into several sources: ecological, position and personal, and more. Not only that, but I also learned some theories that can be linked to daily life and how for the individual who leads to doing something according to the suitability of the situation.
Next, on subject assessment. According to my observation, most of the subjects for this semester emphasize the benefit of doing reflection after finishing a topic, and this subject is not left behind either. Reflection taught me to start a good summary of what I learned after a topic. Not just to create a mind map and transform a lecture note into a point, the leadership packet gave me more knowledge than that. Each topic will end with a question that I need to answer and conclude with a situation outside the classroom, for example, on power & influence. During reflection, we will try to relate to any of our leading experiences or look at leadership skills, whether it is carried out well or not, what kind of power the leader uses, and what the effect is on the follower. Next, the leadership packet also emphasizes how to make changes based on our abilities and weaknesses. It helps me to track based on my action, and I can see the better result after the plan, which help me to improve towards better for my good
Not to forget, the lecturer who taught me was Dr Halimah. I like Dr Halimah's teaching method because she doesn't rely only on slides but more on interacting with students. Dr, often shares about situations that we students can relate to the topic studied, so it made learning more accessible and more comprehensive in which the topics for the class were relatable. Not only that, the activities provided like energizer are indeed different from the others. It is beneficial for us to be more enthusiastic about continuing learning even in the long run. Dr Halimah is also very concerned about her students. Dr will ask about the happiness index before the class starts to ensure that students are in good condition. In addition to communicating after class time on Whatapps about progress assessment or any questions.
I will be continuing to learn more about leadership and how to apply it outside of school hours. I feel this subject helps me a lot in leadership skills for the future as HR to a company that I work for later.

I had great expectations for this course, believing that I would be able to develop the qualities of a great
leader, but it turned out that I knew and learned far more than I had expected. Dr. Halimah emphasized
and described each subject thoroughly. Before studying this subject, I felt it was adequate for a leader to
simply deliver instructions and hope for the best results without understanding the process and showing
concern to employees or subordinates. Subject leadership is vital for me because I am an individual who
likes to be a leader. After all, the experience I received after becoming a leader made me a more
thoughtful decision-maker since I used to be a person who likes to make choices in a rush. Next, I am a
person who likes to put pressure on others around me at times, which is not a good trait for a leader, so
to some extent, I want to get rid of that tendency and become better. Indeed, many characteristics of
leadership can change my view in the past, and I am now attempting to change every negative thinking
that I have.
Next, I enjoyed how Dr. Halimah taught us by showing us a video and then discussing it afterward; it
helped my memory, and my favourite activity was Kahoot since I love quizzes. Believe it or not, this
online quiz (Kahoot) can remind me of what I have studied, and if I obtain a good score, it boosts my
motivation, therefore I enjoy taking the Kahoot quiz. The next initiative is the leadership packet, which is
one of the responsibilities assigned to me. It also helps me to be more efficient in studying a topic since
it enables me to reflect on the topic which catches my attention and helps me remember the topic.
When combined with workshops on each topic, it further clarifies and discusses each issue in more
depth, as well as understanding the genuine issue. Dr. Halimah has done well in all ways to boost my
learning, and all the actions she has taken have helped me grasp every topic discussed.
In general, studying this topic provided me with a wealth of new information and experience. I am
hoping to learn more about leadership and other issues from Dr. Halimah.

This subject is very important for me and other students to delve more clearly with respect to leadership. It is very useful especially for students of Human Resource Development. This is because HR plays an important role in the organization and needs to have a responsible attitude as a leader because HR will deal with people or employees. Leadership is very relevant and always necessary in our reality life because the leader's behavior reflects the personal behavior of each individual. So, it is important to show and cultivate a good, honest and responsible attitude in ourselves. This subject is very helpful in shaping leaders in the right way that we can learn. Not only that, in this subject also emphasizes on the aspects of how to be a good leader and the disadvantages that occur if not be a good leader.
Through this subject as well, I gained a lot of experience and ways to solve problems well as a leader. I am also aware of the role of the leader because it can influence others to achieve a desired goal, so it is very important to carry out the task correctly and wisely. I also got a lot of information regarding this leadership subject through group work given such as mini workshops and we managed to manage the time well and submit the assignment before the deadline. This taught me a lot to be more disciplined and wiser to manage time well so that I can cultivate a leader attitude in myself. Moreover, the syllabus in this subject is very useful especially for those of us who will be a leaders in the future. For example, the topic Traits and Personalities of leaders describes the personality and attitude in a leader while the topic Behavioral Leadership Theories helps me to identify different leadership styles and divided into several types in clearly. I give great emphasis on this topic to be a reference for me to evaluate every leadership style available and the best as well as take into account all aspects.
Therefore, I hope I can be a good leader in the future and be able to use all the information as well as the lessons I gained from this subject for my career in the future. I also want to be a leader who is kind of tolerant and understanding like my lecturer Dr. Halimah because she always become a good example and really understands her students. Thank you Dr.

In conclusion, this subject is very important to learn especially to students in the field of Human
Resource Development because as HR, we will be dealing with people in our career path in the future. In
addition, the topics studied in this subject are also very relevant to be applied in the career world in the
future. Besides, the tasks given through this subject are very beneficial to me for example, when handling
mini workshop. My group got the title of Leader-Member Exchange for our mini workshop project. During
the preparation for running this project, I and the group members learned a lot especially from the aspect
of time management, and this topic also make me strive to be the best leader and be able to be a good
role model for my team workers.
Through this subject as well, it also taught me to be a more charismatic and disciplined person as
a leader in the future. The syllabus Traits and Personalities of Leaders that describes trait, attitude and
personality that must be present as a leader. Next, the topic of Behavioral Leadership Theories that reveal
about leadership styles which are autocratic, democratic, laissez-faire, transactional, and
transformational. The third chapter is Situational Leadership that explains that every different situation
requires a different leadership style. There are 4 types of leadership style which are Directing, Coaching,
Supporting and Delegating described in this chapter. Other than that, topic of Transformational Leadership
that triggers a change in a person’s attitude and thinking towards his or her responsibilities starting from
the awareness created by the leader towards subordinates and not because of rewards or threats.
To summarize, I hope I will use all the beneficial information that I gain from this subject for my
career in the future. Thank you very much Dr Halimah for giving us the best guidance throughout this
semester. Honestly from me, Dr Halimah, you are a Successful Leader because you truly understand our
world as students and do not put much pressure on us in performing tasks. Thank you very much dr.

Based on this assignment, I learned so much and it makes me more prepared well in order to finish all the terms given in this assignment. For me, this assignment not just a task but I can assume like my diary where I can express my weaknesses, strengths, and also my action plan in order to improve my weakness as well as my current strength. This is good for me in terms of leadership where I can produce and set up my mission plan for my own good in the future. It is not easy when I do not write the mission but with this assignment make me realize that it is important for me to write down the mission and then what is the plan that I should do to improve myself. Not just it can benefit me in working later but I also can use and apply it in my life. It encourages me to be more creative and do something that can make me do outside of my comfort zone. I am realized that the mission is important because if I have a mission, I will know what to for the next.
Besides, from this assignment, I can measure the action plan whether is successful or not. However, most of the result is just good but not too good. I am happy with my achievement and for sure I will improve more in order to make sure all the plans that I write in this leadership packet can be totally good. It is very important because all the plans can be a benefit to me, especially in terms of the leadership aspect. If I improve myself and make sure the mission is successful, then I can be a good leader in the future. Not just that, for the reflection journal, is very interesting where I can express what I understand as well as experience that I got from all the topic that I have learned with Dr. Halimah. I am very happy to learn this subject with Dr because she very understanding their students well. This reflection journal makes me more understand about every single topic that I have learned.
