He was born in 1403 in Semerkand.His family became famous by the nickname Kuşçu.He was interested in mathematics and astronomy from a young age.When he grew up, he went to Kirman to increase his knowledge.Here, he wrote Hall-ü Eşkâl-i Kamer and his work Şerh-i Tecrîd.After completing his education, he became Uluğ Bey's assistant and observatory manager.He wanted to go on a pilgrimage in 1449.He died in Istanbul on December 16, 1474 at the age of 71.The 15th century tomb of Ali Kuşçu is in the treasury of Istanbul Eyüpsultan Mosque.
