It was a.k.a.  the seven year war. The British Prime  minister went broke after the french and indian war. So he taxed the colonist by stamps. It also taxed with sugar  and coffee.

Even though the stamp act was repealed they still needed  money. The tension between the british and ammericans grew big.taxes were set on  stuff like tea,glass,lead,paint, and paper.
The colonist led a boycot

So tensions between the colonist and britan grew,
an american patriot,(don't know his name),harrased a red coat ,standing guard named John Goldfinch.Another red coat named hugh white help joined the other guard.  Then white was getting harrassed and so White HIT THE PATRIOT IN THE FACE WITH A MUSKET! 
Soon more people came and John retreated to a custom house and pointed his musket at an angry crowd. Because they wanted to punish he colonist they put TAXES ON TEA! So the  disguised themselves as indians and got on a ship with tea and they dumped it all out because they were like:"If you want to make taxes on tea then no one will have tea!".
