I would love for my colleagues to remember  that we are in the business of educating kids.  Some kids act up and drive us crazy, but I think we get lost in this.  Look at the play today: what a wonderful performance by so many kids.  Let's look at opportunities to get more kids connected to our school.  If that happens our issues with kids will drop.

Boldness and consistency is important if we want to really move the needle with regard to school climate and student achievement. Also, I need to know that colleagues and I can continue to be a part of the decision-making process when appropriate; staff here currently have many opportunities for leadership if they choose to take advantage of them. Perhaps most importantly, I need to continue to feel trusted as a professional to do my important work with students, knowing that I have admin support if I need it, while also being pushed by a staff culture of rich, challenging conversations and professional growth.
