In the recent environment, teachers and students have become much more adept at using online video-conferencing software. Teachers can invite a guest speaker to join via Zoom, GoogleMeets, or Microsoft Teams. Another way I have seen students and teachers engage with guest speakes and firsthand consultants is by utilizing twitters to ask questions or participate in a conference on twitter with a specific hashtag.

Webquests can be completed by creating a hyperdoc. A hyperdoc is a document with working links that students click on to go to a specific website. Within those websites students view information and graphics and return to the hyperdoc to reflect on their learning. Throughout the unit, students can complete specific sections of the hyperdoc or it can be completed all at once as a pre-unit activity to generate thinking. Teachers can randomly choose a student to present information from the hyperdoc and the students in the class can respond using polling software to predict how the content relates to the unit of learning.
