Appearance: The Bearded Dragon is a native Australian reptile. It’s colour is brownish yellow, the name “bearded” comes from their ability to flare out the skin in the throat when it is threatened by something. The lizard has a flat appearance with spines on the throat, sides of head and it’s sides. The Bearded Dragons head is the shape of a wedge, with a tail that is almost as long as the body. The males are slightly different than the females, with larger heads and darker beards.-Jaron

Habitat: The bearded dragon lives across most of Australia, usually warm, arid areas such as deserts, subtropical woodlands, savvanas, and scrublands.Jaron

Diet: These omnivorous lizards nourish on food including fruit and leaves in the wild. They also consume invertebrates such as ants, beetles, and small vertebrates like lizards that they can catch.-Max

Defences: The Bearded Dragon has to defend themselves from predators like, goannas, snakes, hawks, and dingos, in order protect themselves. The bearded Dragon has many adaptations. If a predator is on the hunt for the bearded lizard, the lizard can use its camoflauge to remain undetected from their predator. Their bunps and spikes covered body features breaks up their silhouette.
