How can changing its temperature help this animal?   When the temperatures get too high the dragon will cool it’s blood down to cool itself along with storing heat using its frill. The reptile can change its colour to help blend into its surroundings (camouflage). Appearance: Thorny Devils reach up to 20cm in length and it’s covered in thorny spikes. It has a false head on the back of its neck to warn off its predators. It can also camouflage into its surroundings with the colours mostly red, orange, grey or yellow. Habitat: The Thorny Devil is native to Australia. 

Diet: It eats ants 24/7. It pokes its sticky tongue out to catch the prey. 

Defence: The Thorny Devil protects itself with its spikes and also with its false head which warns predators to hide its real head.
