Social behavior is a wholly beneficial and important skill that organisms have developed. It raises survival rate of not only individuals, but entire species through protecting against predators, promoting adaptation, and leading to a further advanced environment.

Through this project, I have found the true importance of social behavior. Social behavior is extremely beneficial to organisms and have helped them adapt and grow the the amazing survival rate of the species today. I formerly thought social behavior to be reserved to humans and learning about how it affects other organisms is very interesting. For example, I never imagined that dolphins would have a complex language of their own! I would certainly like to learn more about this topic.

A group within a species collectively moving from one place to a more environmentally beneficial other is known as migration. This practice is necessary for many species to survive, as it allows them to shift to a safer environment. This yearly gathering is socially and physically healthy for organisms.

These types of social behaviors have helped animals overcome and adapt obstacles. Organisms use social behavior to better their chances of survival and to adapt more quickly and effectively to the environment. For example, communication developed by dolphins was an adaptation for difficulties in relaying information from mother to young or other necessary skills. Through natural selection, individuals who had developed this trait gained the advantage. This has been largely beneficial in the advancement of survival rate and the species as a whole.
