I highly recommend reaching out to others, voicing your concerns, and just talking to your friends. It provides a sense of comfort and gives you an outlet for your frustrations, fears, and worries in life. It makes you feel heard and let's you know that you are not alone, even in hard times.

Take chances like a somewhat free day to just, do nothing instead of always being so busy. We're not robots who can do tasks without fail, we need some form of rest to recover from using up all that energy. It's up to you on what you do to unwind, even lying still on the bed with empty thoughts helps clear out a foggy mind.

It might sound simple, but even just listening in on messages in the group chats helped me cope with the situation. It reminded me that I wasn't alone, and that my loved ones and friends were safe and doing well. Often, we're left to our own devices inside our minds and emotions. That's why it really helps to send a message or start a small chat, whether through an app or in person, with friends or loved ones. It takes you out of your myriad of different thoughts, both positive and negative, and keeps you grounded in the "real world," reminding you that 'hey, we're okay, and will be okay!'

I feel like checking up with family and expressing to them how you feel, especially in times of danger, helps oneself to get through the current challenge. It allows me and also the people around me, get in touch with their feelings and helps with knowing what needs to be done. In this way, talking out loud can not only comfort one another but also help in identifying what is needed from each other, may it be comfort, solutions, or even just a little distraction from what's happening.

Exercising, taking baths, indulging in skincare, journaling, writing on planners, listening to inspirational videos/calming music, playing games, watching our favorite series/movies, and resting without guilt have always been my go-to "de-stressors". I think too often we are surrounded by factors that burden our minds unnecessarily. That is why, if possible, it is nice to have at least 1 hour of "me time" for ourselves just to relax and ground ourselves away from anxiety and overthinking.

Only then I could relax and transition into other methods of coping like talking it out with family and friends and sitting with my feelings.
