In the spring of 2023, only 56 out of every 100 fourth-

graders were doing math at the level they should be. In 2019, before the pandemic, it was 69 out of 100. That's just one example from the report.

Our proficiency dropped so we need to pick it up. One way to pick it up is to have more learning time. One way to do this is to remove recess and use that time to learn

i think that it is our parents fault because they don't check up on us and when they found out that their kids are not doing their work they do nothing about it and sometimes it is the kids fault because sometimes we get lazy also we do not be fousing on things we need to do . We do not be studying at home and our grades starts to get worse

But just having more time isn't enough. You need good teachers, principals, buildings, and equipment too. But time is very important for helping kids do better in school. And we need to use that time wisely. Just adding more time to the school day without a plan won't work.

The kids who had played with the objects came up with three times as many creative uses for the objects as the kids in the other two groups. This shows that play can help kids think creatively. Unstructured recess helps kids become more creative and smarter and kids that been told what to do are less creative .

Of course, there is always support for the other side, that recess should not be structured. There’s evidence supporting this theory, suggesting that unstructured recess is good for children. According to KevinMD, “free play promotes intellectual and cognitive growth, emotional intelligence, and benefits social interactions.” Kids get more creative and improve on their achievements also helps kids get along better
