Before beginning the editing and optimization of a device page, approval was needed by iFixit beforehand, as well as approval of successful completion of each checkpoint. Having the project broken down into various components helps to ease the workload and also focus on one task at a time. • Usage of proper formatting to make the writing easier to read for the user
• Effective writing is writing that will actually be read by someone. which is why this project helped me to realize that SEO is important because it plays a role in getting the information across to users without too much searching.

The project is done through stages, or as iFixit calls it, checkpoints. These checkpoints allow us to gain feedback before continuing to the next stage. This process of receiving feedback before moving on helps to make sure we are on the right track and doing everything up until that point correctly. This is a huge time saver, as instead of doing something wrong and realizing towards the end, we are able to pick up on our errors early on and find a solution, so that more problems dont arise as we continue with the project. In this project, I also employed the use of checklists as this Project has many requirements in order to be successful. I had learnt that not only having a checklist, but having a categorical checklist greatly helped me to stay on track of what requirements have been met or not met. The categories help me to focus on one aspect at a time. • How to effectively write for an intended audience. Writing for experts is very different than writing for the general population, because of the knowledge on the topic that the reader currently has. Learning to write for a general audience has shown the importance of effectively writing in a way that is concise yet not too muddled in details to the point of confusing the reader.
• How to correlate photos and written text together so that they may work in unison instead of separately. This repair guide has shown me the importance of being able to utilize not only words, but pictures to get information across
• Understanding the importance of context, in the sense of providing prerequisite information before committing to a repair, tools required, time required, etc.

Writing effectively is one thing, but being able to organize your thoughts and ideas into a meaningful representation that can aid in effective writing is just as important and something I had previously overlooked. With this in mind, my biggest challenge was organizing my thoughts and information. Through this challenge, I have learnt that detailed checklists were the biggest factor in allowing me to overcome this challenge. Being able to see the requirements neatly laid out in a logical manner helps me to focus on the task at hand instead of spending too much time trying to figure out what the task is asking of me. Also, having the formation of a detailed checklist in mind helps me to analyze the reading with more clarity, which gives more insight into what I'm reading and what key information should be taken from the writing, because its one thing to read something, and another to gain insights and information from the reading. Checklists not only help with completing the task, but also with identifying the task specifically.
