         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) I'm focused on learning all 600 names! I can't expect to build a relationship if I keep calling them "sweetie" or "buddy".&nbsp;<br>2) In order to understand how our students think and feel, we need to have time. Genius Hour/Passion Projects allow them to come up with their own passion and drive their learning. We can observe how they think and use that knowledge and apply it in all subject areas! So much data support this a great way to challenge kids and get them to be more connected with their school, classmates, and teachers. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) Make the time to talk to students informally (finding out interests, and incorporating them into learning some way)<br>Telling/showing kids that we care<br>Positive intrinsic behavior modification<br>Love and Logic trainings for teachers 2x per year, every year<br>More time with Cobi (did we mention that she is amazing??)<br><br>2) Math/ELA Menus and small group learning<br>Find ways to differentiate and create challenging extension curriculum<br>"Mixing it up" with projects, games, etc. <br>Genius Hour/Passion Projects<br>Changing mindsets for the kids--instead of saying "I'm bored", rephrase it as "I'm excited by..."<br>Have students help create rubrics/guidelines<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) Morning meetings with "check ins" for students to share something personal (successes or experiences) with each other,&nbsp; "Star/Student of the Week", celebrate their cultures within the classroom, explicit social skills instruction and/or Mindfulness lessons, focus on positive classroom management&nbsp;<br>2) Some opportunities for choice are important at appropriate times such as math menus/projects, science projects and explorations, etc. Balance is always good, too so students experience other types of learning that aren't always "flashy" and involve screen time.</div>]]></description>
