Description:
On April 25th 1915, the ANZAC Landing boats land in what is now called ANZAC Cove. Straight away Ottoman Gunfire starts raining down on the ANZAC troops from trenches above the shore. After landing, the ANZACS have to push up the beach while being under heavy fire from the Ottoman Empire.  

Soldiers Experience:
I lay in the open from 7am till 5pm and did not get a scratch. Dug ourselves in that night; snipers going all night but we did not return their fire. Food for 24hrs: two biscuits and some water.

Death Toll:

Description:
The ANZAC troops start to climb Ari Burno and toward the First Ridge (Plugge’s Plateau) while the second wave lands on the beach. Once the first ANZAC Units reached the First Ridge they captured the first Ottoman prisoners.

August 6th - August 10th 1915

Description:
The Battle Of Lone Pine Occured from the 6th of August 1915 to the 10th of August 1915 and was a diversion to distract the enemies from the main assaults from the  British, Indian and New Zealand troops. The Australian 1st brigade was able to capture the Main Trench line from two Ottoman Battalions.

Description:
After eight long months of fighting in Gallipoli, the ANZAC evacuation began on the 15th of December 1915. In four nights, roughly 36,000 troops were evacuated. Support troops and reserves were prioritised and around 10,000 fighting units were left on the 19th of December. They moved out that night from the frontline trenches. 

Soldiers Experience:
Now & again batches of troops were taken away, till at last roughly 45,000 troops were left to hold the lines. Fine weather & secrecy were required for our success. How secrecy was kept was a mystery to us all, as the fact was known for some time previous, & yet as events transpired, it is almost certain the enemy never had an inkling of what our next move was going to be.
