Pearl (the cat) told the hamster that in the sun room there was a bunch of yogurt drops and the stairs were covered in sunflower seeds. So the hamster wanted to leave his cage to get the yogurt drops and the sunflower seeds. He left his cage and he noticed that Pearl was lying about the stairs but the hamster never got to see the sunroom. Pearl just wanted to eat the hamster. So the reason why hes outgoing is because he figured out how to hide from Pearl and run back to his cage.
