Although, the blues has such a cultural impact in the world today because they are songs that are speaking about the good and bad times in someone’s life. A type of genre that is real in every sense of the word and a type of music that makes a person feel something no matter what the emotion. The Blues is a genre that also has a great meaning in my culture of being an African American, as some of the songs that started the blues were taking about all the hardships going on in America at that time and the blues was an escape from these issues for the artists as well as the people listening.
