Over the years, the labor market for psychologist has increased in the world specifically in Colombia. This could be a consecuence of the large a mount of the mental health issues in the society. In contranst, with the perception of the other people that are not in this profession. Although, the percent of clinical psychologist employability is 85.7% (nota económica, 2024). The salary that most people receive is not enough for the monthly expenses because in many cases they only earn a minimum wage. Moreover, this is not equivalent to the working hours and emotional efforts.

Additionally, the perception depends On many factors for example the gender, age, study level, ubication and area of specialization. In psychology, men have less opportunities to be recommende than women because the woman is seen a protection symbol), and women have more tasks in all the creas for the same rason. Also the area of specialization influences the postility to dotain a good job. Just in University practices the students could find a job while they are in their practices and receive pay for it.

Artificial Intelligence can significantly help people who feel uncomfortable talking to others. Many individuals struggle with mental health issues, and as a result, do not seek help because they are afraid or shy. A well-designed AI could analyze conversations, detect signs of anxiety or depression, and connect users with professional help. This technology could be an essential tool for achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. However, some people worry about privacy and the accuracy of AI diagnoses.

Developing this AI presents many challenges. It must correctly understand human emotions, which is very difficult. Additionally, it should protect users' data, ensuring confidentiality. For example, if AI makes mistakes, it could misdiagnose people or fail to recognize real issues. AI should be designed with advanced algorithms that analyze voice tone, text patterns, and facial expressions to detect distress signals. Moreover, it must be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities or those from different cultural backgrounds. Despite these challenges, this innovation could help millions of individuals receive timely and necessary care. In fact, some companies are already testing chatbots and virtual assistants for mental health support, such as Woebot and Wysa, demonstrating that AI can be useful in this field.

Studies support the effectiveness of these chatbots. A study published in JMIR Mental Health found that Woebot helped users reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in just two weeks. Another study in Computers in Human Behavior: Artificial Humans showed that even simple AI tools can improve mental health. Nevertheless, experts say AI should not replace human therapists but work together with them. In order to prevent risks, AI developers should work closely with psychologists and mental health professionals. Therefore, regulations must ensure that AI is safe, ethical, and effective. By carefully designing and monitoring AI, we can create a valuable tool that helps people while still encouraging professional support. Ultimately, this collaboration can lead to a better future for mental health care.

Fitzpatrick, K. K., Darcy, A., & Vierhile, M. (2017).
