We don't all understanding the complexities of the context within which the students are operating. eg- Labs. How much time/ autonomy they have. How much scope for creativity they have. This makes it difficult to give assess and give feedback in some cases.
2. Students are poor at critical reflection. (We do address this in class tasks- but it is still a weakness).
3. Their action plans are often very vague, and NOT explicit and targeted.
4. Language is still a big issue- disciplinary differences in semantics.
5. We are teaching unknown students 'fresh off the plane' in many cases- they may now have basic knowledge of the way we access Vision/Discovery/consider Ethics... etc etc
