The school is a small school with around 400 students from ages 4 to 18 years old. We are located in a region called “Nordeste Transmontano” – Northeast of Portugal, near with the border with Spain. The major city in the area is Bragança with almost 30.000 inhabitants and is the city where I live. Alfândega da Fé is 70 km away from Bragança and it has only 4.000 inhabitants. I have been teaching informatics and new technologies for around 20 years (last 10 in Alfândega da Fé). Beyond informatics and technologies I have different hobbies and interests like environmental; social; political and educational issues. My favourite hobby is beekeeping and the environmental importance of the bees ( I have around 50 hives) . My school welcomes pupils from 3 to 14 years old. At the Secondary School students study English and French or Spanish. They're quite used in carrying on etwinning projects and they've also had the possibility to experience school trips and exchanges in France. I been teaching for 4 years this summer, so I'am still new to the game.

A lot of the projects the students have been working with is based in the Tech part of STEAM.

In my civil life my main focus is my family, handball coaching and playing handball and gardening. 
I live with my little family, wife and son, in Sanderum, on the outskirts of Odense.

I'm constantly looking for a way to become more competent in using new technologies to deal with history, geography and italian literature and language, promoting the construction of competent future citizens...
I'm very fond of Coding... A new/old way in learning: a key to rediscover world, its rules and overrules, to renew processes, problem solving and competences in knowledge.
