Kennedy wins by promising to keep the U.S. ahead of the Soviet Union in the Space Race and Cold War. We saw the assassinations of US President JFK and civil-rights activist Martin Luther King, we also saw the Cuban Missile Crisis which took place in October 1962. It was a direct and dangerous confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The 60’s finally ended on a good note with many technological and scientific advancements and accomplishments, The First man landed on the moon and there was a tv in almost every American living room.
