Your insights, as a Humanities & Social Sciences graduate, equip you to tackle the challenges the world is facing – climate change, global pandemics, the growth of populism as much as graduates from science, technology and engineering subjects.

Attending events is a great way to learn more about what different organisations do, the types of roles they have for students and graduates and what it is like to work there.

Recent graduates are often involved in presenting and there is usually an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

TIP: look out for 'Careers in' events as these generally involve a panel of speakers made up of alumni

1. Look at section 2 of the Right Skills report and the Subject Benchmark Statement for the subject/s you are studying

2. Reflect on how you are developing your communication skills through your studies and note down 2 examples

3. Reflect on how your ability to solve problems is being developed through your subject. Note down an example (this might be from outside of your studies)
