Since the morning on that day, in every household   prepare their favorite Dishes like "Katupa",  some of them butchered goat, chickens or pig for NYE dining. New Year's Eve in Timor Leste, especially in my family.  On the morning of December 31, we went shopping for food, vegetables, meat and drinks.  Then we started to cook, in the afternoon we went to church to pray together to welcome the new year's eve.  Coming home from church, we have dinner with the family, have fun (dance).  Then at 11 pm we pray again, and get ready to light the fireworks, or watch the fireworks.  On January 1st morning we will go for recreation with the family, usually we go to the beach and swim as much as we can.
