Whenever Gat would discuss how wrong the political viewings of the Sinclairs are he would always get shot down. “’Stop talking now,’ said Mirren. ‘Stop talking, forever,’ said Johnny. … ‘Shut up,’ I said. ‘I’ll give you more chocolate if you shut up.'” Cady responds to this by saying that they do not actually mean what they said. Throughout the book, Cadence is trying to remember the tragic accident she endured with the help of the Liars alongside many twists and turns. The book even starts off with a lie: "No one is a criminal. No one is an addict.
