To create an awareness of the environment and develop sustainable mindsets in our leaners, the annual Green Drive on the occasion of ‘VAN MAHOTSAV’ 🌳 is carried this year on the theme ‘LIFE ON EARTH’, entire theme was divided into various activities.

• The GREEN DRIVE commenced with watching the videos wherein the students were made aware of the concept of biodiversity and the importance of sharing the planet with other living beings.🦅 🐿 🐬

• To appreciate the importance of tress in the survival of all living organisms and our responsibility towards them, students were told the story of ‘CHIPKO ANDOLAN’.🌴

• As Art integration, under nature craft, students represent  ‘LIFE ON EARTH’ 🌏 through their craftsmenship. They presented the miniature model of earth showing different habitat of different animals and how all of us are living together in harmony.

• To make students aware of the fact that as green vegetables are important for our health similarity green plants are important for the health of the planet, the students had 🥒 ‘GREEN LUNCH ACTIVITY’ in which they were asked to have green breakfast/ lunch every Wednesday.

• To raise awareness for 🐅 TIGER CONSERVATION’, story reading and virtual tour of a National Tiger reserves of India through earth Voyager Tool created on Google Earth. In the story session, students browsed through picture book ‘TIGU’S LOST HOME’. It was conceptualised and written to underline the connection between trees and animals.  

• The theme was culminated by being thankful to nature for all its bounties.Videos were shared to develop the ’ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE’ towards all the living organisms on the planet earth. 🌏

Students across all sections participated enthusiastically and posted pictures/videos/messages in the padlet.
