I would give it a 6/10 because I didn't find to much interest in the plot. It didn't really seem like the kind of style of story I usually enjoy. In the story it talks about how the main character's friend moved away and it just seemed a bit boring to me. Even though I didn't like the story too much, you might.

I would rate this book a 7/10 because I like how they included the backstory of the main character and that the story takes place in the main character's past. I also think that it could have talked more about Celeste's life other than her moving to New York. Although the story was good I just didn't really enjoy it.

I would give this book a rating of 7/10. I enjoyed that we were able to learn so much about Shay and Dante's past experiences, just from a couple pages. I think it helps me learn more about where the character comes from, and helps me relate to them.

I would give the book a 8/10 rating because it could add a little more detail about the characters and whats going on in the story. I like how they talk about there past with eachother and shared memories from there past. But overall the story was good except for a couple things they could add.

When reading the book, i realized that the short story is just a window. I never experienced being homeless and living(?) in a cafe. But in my opinion, i rate the story a 6.5/10 because i thought that the story would be better because of the title. but over all, i didn't really get the story too much. way too many twists and turns.

I rat this book 9/10 because I can have a mirror to this because my uncle tells stories like this and the plot so the story inside the store was crazy!

I would give this book an 8/10 because the story was about a kid with the ability to read minds and that he wants to impress his crush which becomes interesting and gives some intensiveness.

i think this is a good short story because it gives good detail about things and gives off mixed emotions about things. this book is about how this girl and this boy who are in a relationship, unfortunately the girl, Shay had to move to north Carolina and the boy and girl are going to have to do long distance and they are talking about they're old memories while they hangout before she has to leave and they talk about memories while she carves her initial into the boy, Dante's arm.

I like the book overall, but I wish I could see more parts of Celeste life a little more throughout the story, maybe about her life in New York and her life in New Hampshire (different about life there), or maybe if there was something that happen in Celeste life that would surprised us as the reader.

And she was talking about how she loved her mom and how much she loves her friend Celeste .And how her dad feels about the situation with the mom and tree top.

Ok, so i don't really know what to summarize this story because it just very confusing. So it starts with and uncle and he wants to read A story to his nephews and nieces, anyways they story is about Choctaws (i have no idea what those are) and they get lost in a forest midnight and then this "Bihpoli" like tribe or something. Anyways i have no idea what this story is about as of right now i rate it a 1/10 :(

I will give this story an overall 7/10, just because of the fact that it didn't really say why they are moving, and what was the problem to this story. This story also tells me that Shay's is telling about her future, and what she will want to be in the future, but other than that this story wasn't my favorite it wasn't that exiting, nor did it have a Climax. Also this story could also say why they are moving to North Carolina.

Eraser tattoo is a good story. Shay is moving to North Carolina, Wilmington so Dante (her boyfriend) and her are spending a little more time with each other until she moves. Shay is giving Dante an eraser tattoo with her initial S while they are enjoying a conversation together. I give this book a 8/10

I would give this book a 8.5/10 because the story is good but its very depressing the story is about this girl and her mother dies in the story so then she falls in pain/ depression with her father but after she meats this girl and they became really close but after her friend that she met moved back to new York. but this book has grate details

I would give this book a 9/10 because I really liked it's premise. However I wish there could've been a resolution. I think the theme is to choose kindness because Monk could've made the deal final but instead he wanted to be nice and let Angel do whatever she felt comfortable with. I think this story would be a closed window because sometimes I can just predict what my dad or my mom are going to say based on what they've said before since I'm around them so much. I wish the story ended with Angel Carter give Monk a kiss and they lived happily ever after.

I would rate this a 8/10 because I thought that sometimes it was hard tell who was talking. Dante, had just a deeper voice that Shay, so it was at times, confusing. Otherwise, it was a cute little love story.

This is a WINDOW because as a girl with Mexican parents I can understand how she felt while her parents heard about the bad grade.Also I can relate because Mexican parents always try their hardest to make you better but they make you overwhelmed and scared about your future.

I would rate this short story a 7/10 we don't get much context, we get that the Olritch Scourlings and we know that they're rich but no much else, we meet Ramses and Rosie but don't really know where they come from, the plot and idea is good but I feel like I don't know the whole story.

Summary: A stranger steals Rosie's notebook with lots of important info in it for his group, the Olritch Scourlings so they can unleash monsters on the world, then Rosie and Ramses find the stranger to get Rosie's notebook back, they do so successfully then shoot out of a window in the strangers hideout and escape, an impending war is hinted at and the story ends.

I would rate this book a 7/10 because, it was a good book, however I feel like the author didn't really make the story suspenseful or intriguing, if the book had that, I would've given it a higher rating.
I liked the story because there was a small conflict between her brother Roil and her dad. I also felt some tension when the school girls came in and started to touch the wet paint on the walls, this made Merci frustrated. But after-wards, she feels guilty, but the it ended well.

I would give this book a rate of 6.7/10 because the book was intresting at the beginning with the fact the ramses was introduced as the protaginast who was silent for the time being but around the part when the book was stolen (btw book is replacing the spoiler) it seemed like they skipped a lot like when he got to fly, (again trying to not be specific so no spoilers) there seems like they could have added alot more between those times.

In this story their are a lot of emotions/feelings specially because Shay is moving to North Carolina and her and her boyfriend (Dante) are spending as much time together as they can before she leaves. I would rate this book a 7.5/10 because some parts confused me at first like in the beginning I was kinda confused on who Ramses Garcia Garcia is because I thought since there is 2 Garcia's in his name the author was talking about someone else two.I think the theme is don't do evil because it wont work out. The reason I say this is because the stranger tried to summon his gods to go on the earth and that probably would have killed a lot of people and Ramses Garcia Garcia got the strangers notebook with the plans and saved the world. I would say this is a window because I never saved the world from a guy trying to summon gods.

I am going to rate this book an 8 out of 10. I feel that this book was enjoyable to read. I feel that the author had a good idea when coming up with the general idea of the story. The concept was one that you hear of a lot but is only wrote about very briefly in stories. If I am being honest I would not read a book primarily about moving because when I moved across town I found it to be not very exciting. I feel that the author could have talked more about like there age or some more facts about them. I mean it is a short story after all. Now I am actually tempted to learn more about these eraser tattoos. like how did someone even figure them out! In the end the story was good but I have read better. -GRAHAM

A guy who is part of the Olritch Scourlings which is a group of people that want their gods to go to their world because they wil get wealthy stole Rosie's notebook that has all her plans and notes for weapons. Ramses has to get Rosie's plans from the stranger. If the Olritch Scourlings have their weapons they will use them to start wars and bring their gods to their planet which would result in the world ending.

6/10, It wasn't my favorite book because it was cool but just the overall theme were they have been friends since kids, But then whoa shocking one of them moves away to some place far away, but what was cool was how they carved each others initials into their arms and called it a "tattoo" more like a scar. but It was an OK book.
About two friends since childhood but one f them moves away and they love each other, and they rub each others skin till it makes it an eraser Tattoo

I can relate to this book in a way. I know how it feels to have a friend move, and not being able to talk to them in person. For my rating, it is a 8/10 in my opinion. I think it is great how the author manages to capture how it feels to lose a friend, or have a friend be hated because of their skin color. Another thing that the author captures is how it feels to lose a relative. (Her mom in this book.)

I enjoyed the idea of this book, where our main character, Monk, is able to read people's minds. Throughout the story, Monk is chasing after his crush, Angel. I don't like how Monk never realized that Angel isn't a great person to be friends with. Angel is rude to almost everyone, and Monk never realizes that. I think that the story could be improved by having Monk understand that some people aren't worth chasing.

I would give this story a 8/10 because I thought it was cool how he had a power and how we got to see not only his thoughts but other people in the story's thoughts. The fact that he had a power made the story more interesting. An example of that was when he proved his powers to his crush and his friends. I didn't want to stop reading the book because I wanted to see what would happen.

To be honest, this is my favorite short story so far. i would rate this a 9.5/10 because in this story, a kid name Munk has "super powers" and is able to read people's thoughts. But i really enjoyed him making a bet with his friend to prove that he does actually have the powers. it was fun to see his friend's reaction when he found out that Munk, actually does. Munk also likes to talk about girls a lot. During the first part of the book, Munk talks about his first crush. And then his current crush. He also mentions how people tease him because of his name. He explains how people call him Monkey and Funk. But he also is reliefed that his mother named him after a book she read but also was glad she wasn't reading "Moby Dick"

I honestly loved this story and the concept of it came very clearly.
This story is about this girl named Samantha (Sam) and in her 6th grade class they are doing Secret Santa. There was this new girl from California and Sam had kinda a bad felling about her. Sam ended up getting Blade (the new girl) and a secret Santa and Sam had no idea what to get Blade. Sam found some make up and Skull Shoelaces. She gave Blade the make up but she did not look like she liked them. Then she gave the shoelaces a try and Blade loved them. She turned them into friendship bracelets for Her and Sam. Then the became good friends and lived happily ever after.

I give this book a 9.7/10 because it is great! it brings emotion, action, and basically space jam all in one! It gives the feeling of sympathy and remorse at the beginning when *SPOILERS* the protagonist, chris, gets in an accident because of a truck driver in the rain crashing into his dad's car and making Chris unable to use his legs, ever again. *EVEN MORE SPOILERS* Chris goes into the Wheelchair basketball league after the accident since, well he can't use his legs anymore, and because he LOVES basketball, even his dad is a Pro Ball player, or used to be until the accident, not the car accident, an accident in his basketball career. all in all, this book is AMAZING I recommend it to EVERYONE who likes an inspirational story!

I wish it ended with Zachary meeting his father and they could build back their relationship since that clearly affected Zachary in a negative way.

I give it a 5/10 because I wasn't interested nothing pulled me into the book. The only thing that surprised me was when someone got glass bottle smack across their head.

I felt empathy for the stranger I would for sure not want a glass bottle slapped across my face. because it would give me cuts and a headache.

I felt sympathy for the stranger when I put myself in their shoes. Then realized how much it would hurt if you got a bottle hit across your face.

Rating- I rate this book a 9/10 because it was really interesting to me to learn about what Shay, Dante, and Shay's Mother are going through. I also learned a lot about their past which kind of cute on how Shay and Dante met and they said "I love you" when they were 5.
Theme- I would say one of the possible themes would be cherish the ones you love and keep them close. I say this because, like in the story, someone that you love could leave for reasons (moving, dying, not wanting to talk, ect.) and you possibly couldn't see them anymore/as often.

I would rate this book a 9/10. The book was really good at probably my favorite short story. I didn't get bored listening or reading it and it had a unique story line. I like how the author went for a different writing style. The book is about a kid named Monk who can read minds. He uses it to take advantages of things, such as tests, and talking to a girl he likes. I definitely recommend reading this and it's a great short story.

I rate it an 9/10 because the boy got to accomplish his dreams and the dad felt happy for his son because the dad always wanted the son to be a basketball player like him but ever since the car crash and he got paralyzed he wasn't able to feel the same, he tried his best to make it all happen and work. I really loved this story and I hope to read more from this author.

I would rate this story a 5/10. This story doesn't go that far into depth about what "tags" are. It's about these guys in a gang (i think) that go around spray painting tags. They meet up at this one hallway and talk about their backstories. All of them have gotten shot apparently. Two of them get in a fight because one guy thinks he got shot by the other guy. Then they all leave. This story just doesn't explain much at all in my opinion.

This short story was about a boy and the boys father was a pro basketball player and so the dad loved basketball, but his dad got into a injury while playing a game so he stopped playing. A couple years later he and his son got into a car crash and they were both in the car and they ended up in the hospital. After the Accident Chris wanted to play basketball since his dad loved it. Chris found a wheelchair basketball team and Chris had a really big game and they were playing again Madison. It was a close game but did they win? Read this short story by Walter Dean Myers to find out.

Rating- I would give this book an 8/10 because I really enjoyed how this whole story laid out. I liked that we could see the story from Chris who was in the wheelchair and what he thought in his life. I thought it was also interesting the way the dad changed from kind of ignoring him to help him with basketball
Summary- The story is about a boy named Chris who got in a car accident with his dad. Unfortunately Chris was in a wheelchair from after the accident. He ended up joining a basketball team for people in wheelchairs. His team practice really hard for a game against Madison. Chris's dad helped them practice and showed them some tips and tricks because Chris's father used to be a pro basketball player or "pro ball".

His dad who wanted him to play basketball was upset think ( we cant hear his thoughts) because he was now in a wheelchair in the chances of him being able to play basketball are low. But the boy ended up plying in a wheelchair basketball team and he was really good I think the dad was proud because he wasent a very talkative person but he smiled and he grumbled something that the boy thinks he said " he could play as well as me " that for the boy made him happy.

So they had to have elf code names for the week so they chose their names and right after Samantha chose her name, a new girl entered the class room. The girl very quickly chose her elf name of which is, "Blade." Plus with Sam's luck she had to get a present for Blade who she new nothing about and was slightly nervous. She has to find out what to get Blade, and slowly but surely they become friends but has to decide to go with her instinct or her mom's on what to give Blade.

I thought this book was good and had a lot of detail and was told very well and I think that I would most likely rate it an 8/10.

I'm rating this book an 8 out of 10.The book is in poem form which makes it easier to read and go through the story rather than reading big paragraphs of words.The book started to get interesting when the girl that he liked,Angel carter and her friend called him a "geek" so he went up to her and "read her mind" when she asked him two questions.The reason why i took of 2 points from the book's rating is because in the part where he "started to see start" and "everything turned into blue when my eyes were closed"left me confused on why that part was talked about in the book but not mentioned again.

I would rate this book an 8/10. The beginning of the book was first a little bland for me, and I expected as any other poem, that this poem would just be short stories with a bunch of changes in the story and different characters each poem there was, but I was wrong. This book for me was very cool and unique, I can notice the author chooses to write in a different way, a way that is understood and unique. I like how the story goes, and how they make several references from Star Wars, and how the author chooses to make the story realistic. Monk is not really a popular kid or well liked in school but that all changes when he has the powers to read the minds of other people and what they're thinking, in Science class one day when they are about to have a quiz, Monk all of the sudden knows the answers to the questions because he is smart, and the science quiz gets postponed and everyone applauds him, and later when he's arguing with his crush, he can read her mind and guess whats on her mind, Monk has the ability and powers to read minds, and Monk manages to ask her out after he guesses correctly what city her grandma lives in and other questions, and she agrees to. Overall I tried my best explaining everything in this book and I give it overall an 8/10.

I also love how the barriers are realistic and are not far fetched. My favorite part was when the narrator and his Dad connected,you could feel the bonding.The only thing I would change about the book is that have a few more pages. This book was incredible because its a poetry that talks about a boy name Monk who goes through daily stuff with his family.His dad wants him to success and do better .It shows how his dad and mom support him in to what he wants.I like how it let us know everything the narrator is thinking.It lets us know what is thinking in the exact situation.The story can also be really relatable.We can connect to what monk thinks and why he does stuff that causes problems.We can relate to what monk is thinking because he thinks that everyone else can be annoying or gets angry.He also has school drama and goes through stuff.We recommend reading this book if you can relate to the characters.

I would rate this book a 6.5/10, It's nice and I like the way the author wrote the book, we don't get enough context though on the farm life of the boy tho before he went homeless or really why he ran away, but I certainly like some aspects of the story, how the character wanted to join the navy, and that this story is based off WW2, the middle of the story, I expected it to be engaging but it was kind of bland for me, and there was no such big engagement at all, the beginning was pretty okay tho, It was a good introduction to the story how the boy loves looking at the stars and planets. The story is about a boy who wants to join the navy and that is homeless and lives near a cafe and is a thief, but honestly I was a little confused on which were the characters, if Ma Susie was mom or a different character, but I'm sure that was my problem. Most of the story was not interesting to me at all, nothing attached me to the story, but I overall give it a 6.5/10.

I rate it 6/10 because in the middle of the story got really boring because there was no action or anything going on they did not give us enough details in the story.

most of the book was boring and not very interacting and it was not fun to read but it is slit a good book jest a bit boring. it need more action or something.

When a young child was sold into slavery she was sold to a cruel family and her parents one deal when selling their child was that she was taught to read. The day she turned 6 a tutor came to the Li estate and the ancestors were mad that the Li's had broken the promise so they would not except them until she learned to read. They gave her and there son private lessons for many years and then go on a trip for the son to find a bride until they get caught by pirates

I would rate this book a 9.5/10 because it was very detailed and had a lot of funny moments while being good and transitioning to hard moments. They kept the story reasonable and not crazy so I liked this book a lot.
