Good evidence supporting your argument makes it very convincing. Also, I agree with Amelia with the counter argument. If you have a good counter argument and a reason why that counter argument can's be true, then that makes the agreement convincing. When I was really little I didn't want to go on roller coasters, and my mom sat there and convinced me to go on one. She told me to watch the people getting off of them and to look at their faces. All of them were smiling and laughing, and that made me really want to go on one. Now I really love roller coasters, thanks to that one convincing moment that took almost and hour.

I think that what makes an argument convincing is both people in the argument having good evidence or a good claim. Without this, I think that the argument wouldn't really be and argument. I think it is also important to use strong points that support your claim, making it sound better ( or if it is better, to bring out it's stronger points). I think that in an argument, you need to use logic. Also, it is important to choose your words wisely, so that the reader is really hooked to your argument, rather than having the reader bored and waiting for the argument to be over.
