Connection: This picture connects the red flag mystical energy. In many movies that featured the city of Atlantis there were always big crystals and gem stones. It was said that those crystals were used to power the mystical city of Atlantis. The mystical energy from the crystals were to control the city’s power/ energy usage. This is not proved in anyway in this picture as it is fictional. Connection: This documentary video connects the red flag confirmation bias. The whole documentary they really try to give all their information in the direction to making you believe in the lost city more. They do this very effectively throughout the video as they keep adding in artifacts or videos of old rocks in the ocean that look like they could’ve come from that era. The way they apply the red flag confirmation bias in this video at the very end by saving the best for last is very smart. Connection: This website connects the red flag of appeal to authority. They use “the ancient Greek philosopher Plato” (https://www.marineinsight.com/maritime-history/top-10-amazing-facts-about-the-lost-city-of-atlantis/) who first mentioned the city of Atlantis 2300 years ago.  Appeal to authority means that people tend to listen to others who are higher in authority. For example, the prime minister people will listen to and believe what they say. Such as Philosopher Plato who apparently first discovered the Lost City of Atlantis 2300 years ago. They have found proof of this Egyptian city that has sunk therefore Atlantis just as well could’ve sunk. Connection: This article connects to the red flag of ancient wisdom. They found an old ancient anchor in the ocean which can go back to 3000-4000 years ago when Atlantis was noted to exist. The anchor would’ve been for a very large boat which would have had to of been docked on the shoreline of Atlantis. This connects to ancient wisdom as Plato is very old and this is where he said it to be existed. Connection: This Connects to Red Flag reason for belief agenticity as they believe that these marks on the rock related to Atlantis. These marks could’ve been made a couple years ago by kids or even they could be old but just not relate to Atlantis at all. The video is giving you a reason to believe and it is a complex and long version. They use rock carvings as their supportive fact as nobody can question or ask them if they are real as they are real. Connection: The red flag patternicity is connected to this article as the ancient artifacts found could be just more Ancient Greek artifacts and not related to Atlantis at all. But people have this image inside their head from watching movies, or false accusations of Atlantis of it looking a certain way that’s why when we come across a picture of an artifact or a clue we assume it is part of Atlantis. Our minds play a trick and assign the pattern of it being mythological and applying it to Atlantis. It is very easy to do with Greek artifacts as Atlantis is based on Greek gods and so on. Simple theories are better and more towards the point then long theories that loses the readers attention. Connection: this short video of Atlantis is connected by the red flag of suppression by authorities. Such as Area 51 it is hidden from the public of what is found in space or even on the base this is can be applied to the Lost City of Atlantis. The gouvernment may have found it and has it hidden somewhere away from the public’s viewing. They could have it hidden because of something they discovered that they do not want the public to worry about or even look into more depth about. Such as the debate about if aliens are real the debate can be the same about Atlantis. If all these facts are true about Atlantis then someone should have found it by now. 1. While doing this assignment on the city of Atlantis I have learned many things. Such as Atlantis could be real and if you did more research and found out some actual scientific evidence then it may be real. I have also noticed while researching this topic many people believe it to be real just because they have found a couple Greek artifacts in the ocean where Atlantis was said to be. This cannot be the case as for someone to have full explanation it would take solid scientific evidence from an old drawing or DNA test of some sort. 

2.  This topic is very important to me because as a kid I grew up on movies and shows that featured what Atlantis may have looked and operated like. Atlantis was a huge part to my childhood as I even once had an Atlantis themed birthday party. 

3.  The research I found most interesting would have to be of the red flag reason for belief simplicity of the land with the image of Atlantis beside it fitting in perfectly. This is interesting to me because it is exactly how Plato described Atlantis being with walls in circles around the main building and all the road way etc. Makes me a slightest bit closer to fully believing. 

4. From researching Atlantis I will most definitely remember the name of Plato. Every article, image and video I investigated mentions his name at lease once. 

5. I believe the most harmful red flag would have to be ancient wisdom as people do part take in what the ancient civilizations used to do such as not use medication. This belief can even lead to death of a human such as in the early years they died a lot frequently from unknown illnesses and now we have the research and medication to help with these illnesses. Some families believe in ancient wisdom and it may hurt them. The least harmful red flag I believe is patternicity. It gives everyone a form of imagination such as looking up into the clouds and seeing a horse or some other figure our mind attaches to it. 

6. Some knowledge I would pass on to a family member or friend is to not believe everything that is said to you or something you see on a screen. It is important to do your own research and apply the critical thinking process. Just because someone else believes in something does not make it real or true. It may also be the other way around if you do believe in something have supportive evidence and don’t let the criticism drag you down.
