Green Allotments charity is also seeking land for new non-profit allotment sites. Do you have a corner of land which could be suitable?  Green Allotments is currently looking for land of 1 to 2 acres in size. They are also able to accept donations of land. Their team includes experienced landowners, involved in the buying and selling of land for over 35 years.

 What you’ll gain:

• Confidence in what to say - and what not to say - when health comes up.

• Evidence-based techniques for conversations that feel easier and less draining.

• Ways to support people without creating dependency.

• Skills to respond calmly when someone isn’t ready to change.

The criteria for the grant are:

• The applicant must be a volunteer group. It does not have to be a registered charity, but does need to be able to demonstrate that it is an active group with a clear plan.

• The project can be any activity relating to historic designed landscapes.

• The Gardens Trust is particularly looking for something that will act as seed-funding/pump priming for a sustainable activity. For example, an application to fund a restoration plan, Friends group set-up costs, research project, or volunteer training scheme.

• Grant applications that reflect the Gardens Trust priorities around conservation, sharing knowledge, and encouraging inclusive participation and enjoyment of historic designed landscapes are prioritised.

Parenting Circle will have supporting agencies invited to have guest sessions to deliver workshops, offer support and advice and to build relationships.
Come along and chat, don't chat, build connections, find support and people that get it, don't be alone, drink tea, drink coffee, eat cake, listen, rest, whatever you need as a parent to help make life a little easier. Thermal images taken of your home will be sent to you by email. Volunteers will leave information of how to interpret the images taken during your visit, along with useful information on how to source additional support to make improvements to your home, and where grant funding may be available.

Are you passionate about working with communities and helping prevent harm before it reaches crisis point?  The South East Gambling Harms Partnership brings together eight Citizens Advice organisations across Berkshire and North Hampshire to deliver an exciting new programme funded by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID). Citizens Advice are are looking for five Community Prevention Workers (2 based at Citizens Advice Hart, covering North Hampshire and 3 based at Citizens Advice Wokingham, covering Berkshire) to help them raise awareness, start conversations and reduce gambling-related harm within our local communities. 

This is a varied, community-facing role. You’ll be out in local communities building relationships, delivering engaging workshops and awareness activities, and helping people recognise and respond to gambling-related harm earlier. You’ll work with a range of priority communities, including young people, minority communities, veterans and people affected by someone else’s gambling. 

You don’t need previous experience in gambling harms – we’ll provide the specialist training and support you need. 

What matters most is your ability to connect with people, build trusted relationships and talk about sensitive issues in an approachable and non-judgemental way. 

If you’re confident engaging with different communities, enjoy building partnerships and want to make a difference, Citizens Advice would love to hear from you.
