         <description><![CDATA[<p>This activity the students will use square colored tiles to learn area and perimeter. This hands-on way helps students visualize these concepts. Students will define area as the amount of space inside shape. Cover a rectangle or square with tiles completely, count the number of titles to find the area. Have students create different shapes using the same number of tiles, emphasizing that the area remains constant. Students will use tiles to visualize and arrange into simple shapes to find the perimeter. Let students create shapes with the same number of tiles inside but different perimeters by rearranging the tiles.</p>]]></description>
