Throughout the novel, August's self esteem and self confidence improve. At the beginning of the novel, he held a lot of negative feelings towards the way he looked and he even compared himself to looking like a monster, but the stronger his friendship get and the more he experiences, he starts to really that who he is and what he looks like is really special snd he should embrace his disability instead of trying to hide it or pretending to be someone else.

Julian seems to develop as a character throughout the entire book from ignorance to educated. It seems as though he is influenced by the individuals arond him rather than his own perceptions or ideas. He can be mean and spiteful until it is turned onto himself. He seems to display early personality traits of a narcissist.

Jack Will is a complicated character at first he is nice to Auggie but then he turns on him and makes fun of him behind his back. Eventually they become friends again in the end.

Bully, Highly judgmental towards Auggie. He does not give him a chance, and judges people who hangout with him. Even goes as far as to turn the school against Jack because he spends time with Auggie. I believe he gets asked to leave the school at the end of the book or his parents are removing him because of Auggie. I think he is a product of his environment because his mom even removed Auggie from the class picture.

Sometimes, to be honest, I'm a little frustrated by how Auggie thinks mostly about himself and not so much about Via, Mom, Dad's feelings and realities too.. But I also get where that comes from. (It's been endorsed and he's been definitely

Through Auggie's struggle with identity and bullying at school, I think Auggie shows the traits of bravery and resilience. I think Auggie's character displays a role model for children who are going through something similar as it teaches children to overcome those who try to bring us down.

Julian is the main bully in the book who creates the plague against Auggie at school. I hope that Julian's character can teach young children how not to act towards children at school in that bullying has such a deep emotional toll on others.

Something else to think about - Bullying is something that stems from our own insecurities and homelife so I think that also provides awareness about the mental health of bullies as well
