1)    Keep negative remarks to yourself unless they serve a viable purpose and need to be said. For example, while it’s important to maintain a positive attitude, there are times when something really isn’t right and someone has to speak up. Do it in a non-threatening, non-judgmental way and you’ll fix the problem without alienating colleagues.
 
2)    Speaking of colleagues, it is part of your professional duty to get along with them. Most of your co-workers will be easy to like, but for those that you don’t like, never let it show. Animosity in the workplace causes stress and dis-harmony and is always detrimental to the quality of work the office is capable of and responsible for.
