         <title>Being a part of targeted post secondary interest forums, including CUNY, WorkForce 1, Camino, etc.  Gathering seniors to provide them with important College Access Information.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>JAckie<br><br>Having small group Advisory to share out feelings around transitioning to remote learning.<br>Zoom Celebrations!!!! Decision Day was super fun!!! Seniors shared pictures on their social medias.  This allowed them to feel happy and confident in their Decision during such an uncertain time.<br>Cross-counselor collaboration... Communicating with other counselors to reach students and engage therm... This helps in not feeling alone as we are all distanced.  <br>Reaching out to 5-7th years about the likelihood of them graduating. <br>Having weekly Post Secondary meetings to share out best practices.  <br>Zoom with College Directors to continue to keep ELLIS on the map and relevant.<br>During every Advisory, I begin with a mini breathing exercise.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-How to create lessons for my advisory. Lessons with  topics of interest to each and different group of students. Differentiate work for each student so that they best understand my lessons. <br>-I had to go back and research evidence-based with best practices regarding  working with students' trauma and other SE issues.<br>-Flexible with the amount of emails received regarding student's status and how well I responded to teachers.<br>-Learned a lot from my SEL committee from the INS: where I shared best practices and I can use them for the upcoming year. <br>- Still in the process of being patient with this technology platforms and make sure I teach my students at the same time.<br>- Making sure SESIS notes are updated and provided the best counseling services IEP for my caseload.<br>- Being able to target students not engaged with remote learning.<br>- Keep confidentiality at all time.<br>- Become well informed with this year's grading policy and how to use that language with students and coworkers. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have developed a great relationship with my students and parents.<br>I followed most of them on a daily basis, giving them resources on places where to find Halal food. I made sure to tell them to call if there is any problem with<br>teachers and other matters.<br>I asked them to call me in the morning if they are going to be absent for that<br>day so I could arrange to speak to teachers and resolve the problems.<br>My most successful outreach was waiting to read the daily attendance at the end of the  day and getting on the phone to find out what happened. Because they<br>know that, I had less absenteism with my students on my list. Being persistent,<br>helped me getting them on the zoom classes.<br>I was able to work with Bia on Wednesdays with mostly the French speakers,<br>and they had a great time discovering virtual resources on Bilingual language.<br>I have found that going through each student jumprope attendance and<br>subjects, I was able to remind the student what he/she is needed to work on.<br>I emailed each one with the subject and grade to let them know of their<br>academic progress. That was very helpful, to me and to reach out to teachers<br>to let them know of some of the difficulties the students are having.<br>I was able to work with (french and Arabic) students who are falling behind<br>in their work during breakrooms.<br>I followed Mamdiarra daily progress and reported her attendance.<br>Now, I am working individually with each student in completing the surveys.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
