Loki angered Thor by cutting off Sif's golden hair and had to find a way to fix it. He tricked two groups of dwarves into competing to make the best gifts for the gods, with his own head as the wager. Despite Loki’s efforts to sabotage them, Brokk and Eitri created Mjolnir, Thor's famous hammer, which was declared the best gift. Loki tried to escape punishment but argued the dwarves couldn’t take his head without harming his neck. Though he avoided losing his head, Brokk sewed Loki’s mouth shut to stop his tricks.

Mischievous – causing trouble in a playful or annoying way.

Wager – something risked on the outcome of a situation or bet.

Legendary – very famous and admired, often associated with myths or stories.

Deceit – dishonest behavior meant to trick or fool someone.

Punishment – a penalty given for doing something wrong.

The video i watched is about intuition. The woman worked in UN and have the job that she thought she wanted. One day she decided to left and listen to her feelings and intuition. First, she thought that the people who was in war, was her sphere of interest but after she realized that it wasn’t.

After that she started listening to her emotions, her body and everything changed, because the changes starts within us. Intuition is one of the important feeling that we need to listen, because it gives us creativity, agility etc. She also speak about “Insaei”- it is icelandic word and it helps us to have clearity in our minds. We need to ask ourself what we need and listen to our emotions and inside out it.

She also tell the story professor Enric Sala, who was an academic professor a long time, but he always wanted to pioneering in the sea. So ,one day he left his jobs in academia and started exploring in the ocean.

The video I watched is about our expectations about life. We humans think that our aim in life is to live a happy life, but there are so many things that bring us misery, for example, our thoughts and experiences, we think that everything in our life should be ideal, and we mustn't make mistakes. We forget that we live here firstly, so we should reframe our thoughts and think that everything happens for a reason and life is all about new experiences, mistakes, etc. We should think that life contains ups and downs, and if we broke up with someone, at least it was for a reason, and for now we have good memories about that, and we should keep going. So when we are old, we realize that we have worried so much about things that are natural for life, and it's beautiful to have life like this.

scratchy - rough and unpleasant to the touch

violation- the act of going against or refusing to obey a low

contentment - feeling being happy and satisfied

yardstick - used for judging how good or successful something is

perturbed- worried and anxious

Questions appear when we wake up, have a shower, look in the mirror etc. and maybe someone decide that it isn"t normal. But the scientists say that when we talk to oursleves it helps us to improve different skills and it is absouletly normal. We can also say that this is the key to development.

When we are talking to ourselves, sometimes it helps us to make dissecions, improve our behavior, give us motivation. But we need to understand that self-talk is very important and nececceary while it helps us and isn”t negative because, it can harm you.

When self-talk is negative and critical sometimes it causes depression and demage our mental health.

Nowdays there are some kind of treatment such as CBT and it is about self-talk.

Therapists teach strategies how to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts and improve mental health.

And finally, when we talk to ourselves we need to be kind.

narration - he act or process of telling a story, especially in a novel, a film or a play

tackle - to make a determined effort to deal with a difficult problem or situation

occasionally - sometimes but not often

frequent - happening or doing something often

mutter - to speak or say something in a quiet voice that is difficult to hear, especially because you are annoyed about something

In the video the question is- why we can't stop loving those who hurt us?

This is very complicated issue. There are some kind of people who have a "talent" to end the relationship where is lack of intimacy, love, chill etc.

This kind of people don't give a second chances to partners. But there are other type of people who can't leave the partner.

besides, when their partners become cold and unkind they're waiting and after receiving an apologies, they think that its okay because the apologies was very sweet. They give other chances people who don't need it.

Sometimes it comes from our childhood, when parents have been arguing and been cruel to their children, before they put in to the bed. This is something that is very sad from the past and have influence about other relationships.

So it is important we know that we must leave the relationship where is kindness, love and lack of feelings.

unfulfilling - not causing somebody to feel satisfied and useful

absence - the fact of somebody being away from a place where they are usually expected to be; the occasion or period of time when somebody is away

quasi - that appears to be something but is not really so

evolved - to develop gradually, especially from a simple to a more complicated form; to develop something in this way

abruptly - in a sudden, unexpected and often unpleasant way

The video is about self-sabotage. Often when people feel pleased, the sadness comes out of blue, for instance: we read something in the internet, or we remember the story or accident that is uncomfortable for us, or at night before sleep we think about people or things that are unpleasant for us, and we start feeling guilty, as if we mustn't feel happiness. At that time we didn't understand that these feelings come from our childhood, when our behavior was deemed provocative and unwelcome. Therefore, we were starting to feel lonely and sad, so we couldn't provoke anyone, sadness meant you didn't get attacked. Now, when we are in the same position we should think, is there anyone who might be upset with our joy? Then we should convince our inner child that this kind of person is no longer our authority, and we don't have to apologise for being talented, happy. And we should live as we are without feeling guilty for things that we do or feel.

unsettle - cause to feel anxious

repulsed - to make somebody feel strong dislike

exuberant - full of energy and excitement

perverse - showing a deliberate and determined desire to behave in a way that most people think is wrong, unacceptable or unreasonable

flourish - to develop quickly and become successful or common

conspicuously - in a way that is easy to see or notice, or that is likely to attract attention

How can we manage our emotions?

There are a lot of strategies to manage our emotions, but first of all we need is to understand that we are all individuals and we need to find our own balance.

So, now we can talk about strategies.

One is called “process Model”

first, it is important to find where this emotions come from and then change it.

For example, when you are attending the party where also is your ex with his new girlfriend and you want to avoid this situation, you need to concentrate about other thing, play and have fun with your friend or just leave the party.

It is important to realize situation and get it how it is.

If you try to block and hide emotions, it will damage you in other perspective.

Long walk, talking with someone, deep breaths are really good to support your system.

After that, there is main question.

Do we need to be always happy.

The answer is no.

we just need to realize situation, get this strategies and we will study how to regulate out emotions and it will be easier to managing emotions.

devastated - extremely upset and shocked

intervene -to become involved in a situation in order to improve or help it

hinder- to make it difficult for somebody to do something or for something to happen

tricky - difficult to do or deal with

inherently - according to or because of the basic nature of somebody/something

How to Force Yourself to Do Hard Things

In the video " How to Force Yourself to Do Hard Things," a speaker discusses the common struggle of avoid difficult tasks. Everyone once in their life have a similar example: we wake up, looking at our to-do list and see the one thing we absolutely do not want to do. (maybe gym, study, work, or something else). The speaker mentions that oftentimes the hardest part is just starting. Once you push past that initial resistance, it becomes easier. It is like jumping into a cold water. You hesitate, your mind screams but when you dive in, your body starts adapts. That is exactly how difficult tasks works. The hardest part is taking that first step – read the first paragraph, write the first sentence, do the first push-up and etc.

The speaker also introduce "two-minute rule" strategies - tell yourself that you will do the task just two minutes. That’s all. You don’t have to finish the whole thing. The main thing is just to start.

The third strategy is to “make it a non-negotiable” – no discussion, no excuses. Treat your hard tasks the same way don’t ask yourself “do I wanna do this?” instead tell yourself “this is what I do”.

The fourth method is the countdown. The author recommends using the five-second rule by Mel Robbins. The moment we feel resistance, countdown 5,4,3,2,1. Then immediately take action. This interrupts our brains habits of overthinking.

resistance

hesitate

procrastination - გაჭიანურება

Studying effectively is crucial for academic success, and there are several strategies that can help students learn faster and retain information better:

Tip: N1 – Set a time limit and use a simple trick called Parkinson’s Law by keeping your study sessions short. For example, tell yourself you’ll study for just 20 minutes. This makes studying feel easier and less overwhelming.

Tip N:2 Teach What You Learn: To understand something better, try explaining it like you’re teaching a child. This can show you which parts you don’t fully get yet

Tip N3: - Use Timers for Focus: Implement the timer trick by setting a timer for 30 minutes to create a sense of urgency. his helps you feel a bit of pressure to stay focused and do more while studying.

Tip N4: Prioritize Important Material: Focus on the most important topics that are need and nessesary

Tip N5: Sleep and Exercise: Make sure you get enough sleep (7–8 hours) because that’s when your brain stores and keeps the things you’ve learned.

Retain - შენარჩუნება

Manageable - მართვადი

Overwhelmed - გადატვირთული

barely - ძლივს

The video is about the language of lying. We hear 100-400 lies in a day. On a psychological way, when we say lies, we try to express ourselves in a better way. When we dream, our brain creates a lot of stories and in general only 5 % is conscioues and 95 % is beyond our awareness.

So, some stories is based on real experiences and some aren’t.

When someone tries to lie, they often use third person and talk about others and it often sounds more false. Also they speak in a negative way, because they feel guilty about lying.

We should realize that, some of the lies are less serious but some may even be harmful. When we talk to someone and we find that they use negative language, they have minimal self-reference, have simple explanation and convoluted phrasing we should know that they are trying to lie us.

allegation - a public statement that is made without giving proof, accusing somebody of doing something that is wrong or illegal

spur - a sharp pointed object that riders sometimes wear on the heels of their boots and use to encourage their horse to go faster

deceptive - likely to make you believe something that is not true

reference - a thing you say or write that mentions somebody/something else; the act of mentioning somebody/something

convoluted - extremely complicated and difficult to follow

Today we are living a life where we never have enough time. We see it everyday. We work, have accomplishments and that is really valuable, but there is also downside.

There are researches that shows that in business companies, workers have approximately 60 meeting in a month, it is 2-3 meetings in a day and that’s may not a lot. In addition, workers have lots of emails as well. And of course it makes people busy.

But this is not a full picture.

First, when we say that we are busy for something, it sometimes means that we want people to think that we are so popular, we are in demand etc. And often, it is easier to say " I am busy" than "I have time".

Another reason is uncertainty. We often struggle to ask ourselves if we have right job or career and more essential questions, and we prefer to say we are busy.

Numbing - when we have problems that is hard to face and work become like an anesthetic.

Often, busyness looks like lonliness, frustration. We should be honest and make different choices, we need to recognize how and with whom we want to spend our time.

Valorize - give or ascribe value or validity to.

unanimity - complete agreement about something among a group of people

outrageous - offensive and unacceptable

contributor - a person who writes articles for a magazine, book or website, or who talks on a radio or television programme or at a meeting

frankly - in an honest and direct way that people might not like
