Parents are researching the ways in which we teach and learn, analyzing what the most effective methods for conveying information are. To achieve the effective method all teachers need know each child as an individual, and adapting their education based on your observations of the child. Montessori education develops students who are capable, accountable, knowledgeable people who have the strong sense of self. While I personally believe that Montessori is for every child, not for adult. Child have theirs on desire to learn. That we as an educator should be following the child's development and not the other way round. After the sessions on Montessori philosophy, it strengthen my beliefs that education should be child-oriented and that we as an educator plays a very important part of their development as a guide and a mentor. In the new era, academic and social skill need to be balance for each children . As Montessori educator, we are not only always follow the child's needs, at the same time also have to understand each child's sensitive period by improving them be independent and able to develop skills and self-discipline in daily life.

"Play is working for every child". I always believe that not just only keep reading book , also fun learning is effective way to each child have build up a strong absorbent mind , especially in golden age. As I believe applying Montessori Philosophy able flexible on fun and hand-on teaching method in classroom which to give the child widen their views.

Parents are also one of the important role in children development stage. I believe that every parent always wish their child can learn and study very well. We as an educator also must always support together with parents. Also, we can deliver and educate the Montessori philosophy to parents that able them to be more understanding on their child’s interest

This is a tough journey to be a Montessori educator or parent. With passion on loving and caring children, we can help to bright up our children.

Besides that, nurturing each child's desire for learning without any pressure. Hands on activities helps a child understands more clearly and make them independent.

Additionally, I feel that its especially relevant in present day because it helps to guide our children in developing the inner spirit of self and how they are able to help and be a role model for others. https://padlet.com/carolyn122/Bookmarks/wish/1147188718 There are so many learning and exploration opportunities for our children in a Montessori classroom with all the 5 areas of the curriculum, but all these will not be achievable without the help of the Directress in class preparing them. 

First of all, I feel that we need to understand and embrace the philosophy in order for us to help our children in their overall development. As a Directress, there are so many areas that we need to focus on such as being a role model to our children, knowing our children through observation so that we are able to work on a plan for their individual development because everyone of them are unique.  We then need to ensure that our classroom environment is being prepared for them to learn and explore daily.  Our presentation of materials have to be clear and following a sequence based on their readiness and ability.  The list goes on...

It sounds like it is quite overwhelming but it's really a joy to see our children in class daily - how they work independently or in pairs, sometimes how they think and in replying to us when we post them a question and how they resolve a situation or conflict amongst themselves.  

This workshop experience so far has made me reflect and then assess how I could apply what I've learned to our school in order to provide a better learning experience for our children.
