I’ve been at home spending LOTS of time watching movies, spending time with my dog and cooking. I’ve been super confused with how this final semester is gonna look like as I was suppose to be on placement in the school board starting next week. I am hoping for the best with my future plans but also, I hope that everyone is well and taking care of themselves!

I've been so distracted. My attention span for anything not 'virus-related' is so poor. Have to get focussed on my project... And get outside more. Exercising indoors is good but outside is so much better for my mental health. On an up-note my youngest has gone out for (short) runs with me twice!

Thanks Jessica and Chris for allowing people to write via this platform. I am still in awe with everything going on. My husband is what they call immuno-suppressed since he did his last chemo treatment in late August. That being said, I have to be extra careful. Thankfully, we are both at home. We clean, bring the dog for a walk, cook, watch movies and series. By the way, has anyone ever watched : "Damages"? I just finished : "Homecoming" with Julia Robert's. It is good. Although, I really think she ought to do something about those lips once this outbreak is over. 😏🤭

Aside from TP and hand sanitizer hoarders, been seeing so many examples of compassion and collaboration. We got this!

Hey Jess -
MG here. Going on two weeks since the beginning of the grand "pivot" (will that word ever re-vert to our old understandings/definitions again?). My head has been buzzing ever since. Thinking about how the amazing community of open educators, and critical digital pedagogues, where we originally met, has been thrust into an entirely new light relative to the wider world of teaching and learning. So grateful for work like yours that, in the midst of all this, determinedly anchors us back in all things human and in the land. Here's a shot of some paths I've been clearing on our lot recently (as I continue to do what I can to clear paths for students and instructors in their new and unexpected online settings). In both settings, there is still much work to be done... Be well my friend!
