Some other facts of obesity in the United States are:

-       78.6 million people in the United States have obesity. (CNN, 2016) 

-       The states Arkansas, Mississippi and West Virginia have the highest rate of obesity. (CDC, 2015) 

-       The black people have the highest rate of obesity (47.8%) followed by Hispanics (42.5%).

-       Many Americans eat processed food what consist of much sugar. That is of course, because it is fast, cheap and delicious. (PublicHealth, n.d.) 

 

The big question for the future is: will the United States ever get rid of the fact that they are an obese country? Scientists have not an answer to that question so the future will say it.

Thanksgiving is originally a feast to gratitude the fruit and the harvest from the past year. It is not clear, but many Americans think that Thanksgiving was first celebrated in the 1600s when the English Pilgrims celebrated the harvest with the Native Americans for the first time after a successful season. (Macphail, 2015) President George Washington declared the first national Thanksgiving Day in 1789. Nowadays are there several Americans who do not celebrate Thanksgiving, because they are convinced that people plundered and stole their land hundreds of years ago. (Smith, 2014) For example, the Indians celebrate Thanksgiving as a national day of grief. The actual reason why all Americans eat turkey during Thanksgiving is unclear, because there are several reasons why people think turkey is a known meal during Thanksgiving. 

Back to these days is the Friday after Thanksgiving called ‘Black Friday’. Black Friday started in 1965 when all the Americans had a day off and went shopping for Christmas. Also in Holland we are known with Black Friday. Overall, Thanksgiving is a well celebrated feast day whiles many Americans enjoying their holiday.

Geography

Yellowstone Park has a surface of 3.472 square feet. The park is situated in 3 states: 96% lies in Wyoming, 3% in Montana and 1% in Idaho. About 5% of the park is covered by water, 15% by grassland and 80% by forests. (National Park Service, n.d.) 

The lowest temperature can be measured in January with an average temperature of 9F (-13 Celsius). The highest temperature can be measured in July with an average temperature of 80F (27 Celcius). 

 

History

The human history of Yellowstone Park’s region goes back in more than 11.000 years. This is shown by trails, oral histories and archaeological sites. (National Park Service, n.d.) The Native Americans in that region are known for eating sheep. In the 1800’s arrived the first European Americans in Yellowstone Park. In 1883 build the government a railroad so visitors could easily access the national park. In 1916 was a National Park Service created. Since then came many visitors to the Yellowstone Park National Park. 

 

Wildlife

Humans are not the only living creatures in the park. Yellowstone Park has also many amphibians such as frogs and salamanders, but also 150 bird species, fish and aquatic species, mammals and 6 reptile species. (National Park Service, n.d.)

 

Why you should visit Yellowstone national park

For only seeing many animal species is Yellowstone Park a solution. From pelicans to mammals and bison’s, Yellowstone Park has it all. Foremost, seeing the beautifully colourful hot spring volcanoes is something magical to see. (Clapper, 2013)

Amusement

A famous musician will always sing the national anthem before the match will start. This year was it Lady Gaga who had the pleasure to sing it. The sport match has always been broadcasted world-wide in 200 countries. More than 100 million Americans do watch the Super Bowl every year. Last year’s Super Bowl had a number of 168 million people who have watched the match. An important part of the broadcasting is the break. Commercials can be very important, because of the high number of watchers. Companies can pay more than 3 million dollars for a 30 second commercial. During the break of the match takes always a ‘halftime show’ place. Great musicians perform on stage. Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Coldplay had the floor last year. (NFL, n.d.)

 

Winners

Pittsburgh Steelers have had the most championships in the full history of the Super Bowl. It won the Super Bowl 6 times and they just lost 2 times the championship. (NFL, n.d.)
