Here's a photo of me with my class this fall. They're all so full of their own unique and beautiful personalities, and they are all growing so fast. May is quickly approaching, so we are working hard to prepare for 2nd grade.

I have my A.A. in Liberal Arts with a Minor in Mass Media from Cottey College, and my B.A. from UNC Charlotte in Sociology. I will finish my M.S.E. in Early Childhood Education this May. Aside from my other jobs, I spent 8 years as a 911 dispatcher. At my last dispatching job, for UNC Charlotte's Campus Police Department, I earned the Civilian of the Year award for my response to the aftermath of the campus shooting in 2018. I have also served in roles where I have worked to stop human trafficking and illicit business and trade school practices by working with state licensing boards, local police, and the FBI. Last year, I earned the Bright Apple Teacher of The Year award for my district.

My husband and I love to go on motorcycle rides, garden, and cook together. I love reading, embroidery, hiking, and looking for crystals/gem stones, and yoga. I will have my 200-hour yoga instructor certification by this fall!
