Success: My students really did a great job of working together this year. They did not know how to do that well at the beginning of the school year.

Challenge: I had a hard time differentiating for several students because my class had such a wide range of skills.

During our STAAR Success Review unit of study, we anchored the experience in "student agency." Next year, we will begin the year with the mindset of "student agency" with the implementation of "Playlists" and "Choice Boards" - all ideas generated from Catlin Tucker's work. So excited!

Proud: As an Academic Technology Coach, one success has been the implementation of Blended Learning at several campuses.

Challenge: Reminding teachers the importance of knowing, naming, and implementing HYTS.

Success: I have had a lot of success with turning in my documentation on time and managing work load.

A successful… My entrepreneur students (new course) actually seem to be learning the concepts and are applying them to class projects.

A challenge… Building a whole new course with students that did not start out all that interested in the topic.

One thing I am proud of this year is the improvement I have seen in my 8th graders quick writing skills. They are using better vocabulary and more details at the start of their writing now. The challenge I am working on is to be more timely in the grading of essays so that my students get actionable feedback more quickly.

Success: I was selected through an application process to be one of four Collaborative Coaches this year. I thoroughly enjoyed doing a "coaching cycle" with a kindergarten teacher that wanted to develop her small group routines.

One sucess would be more leadership roles I've been selected to be apart of.

My challenge would be helping find solutions to my teams questions about moving into a new school building and transitioning from an Intermediate to a Junior High.

Success: I’ve been able to meet all of my deadlines for test requests & grant requirements. We have 3 major grants I’m involved with and do all tests for all 16 core teachers.

Challenge: I’ve had some trouble trying to find enough time to what is required of me done & still help out in other areas (since we are short staffed right now).
