Phil went to Lucy's house which Daniel was at and Phil went into his room. but he hasn't really opened his mind that race doesn't matter he's not racist but he says stuff like on pg 76 Phil says "i've know tons of black kids all my life, and I never knew they could live in houses and neighborhoods just like me!"

Zoe is trying to figure out and she may or may not be believing if her biological father actually killed Lucy which he was in jail for. but Zoe is suspicous if she should believe him or not. Zoe had a friend which was Trevor but they aren't close friends anymore since Trevor said something that Zoe didn't like. Zoe like to cook and she want's to compete in this baking competition show that she watches all the time Zoe and Marcus both love cooking or baking but I think that Marcus didn't commit this crime and at the end he will be released from jail. Zoe's mom doesn't know that she is sending letters to Marcus he biological dad but Zoe's grandma does so instead of Marcus sending his letter to zoe to her mother's house he will send them to Zoe's grandma's house so that Zoe's mom doesn't find out that she has been talking to her biological dad because Her mother doesn't approve of her talking to Marcus.

One theme in Zoe Washington might be, the truth can hurt. I think this because Zoe doesn't want to believe Marcus is guilty and wants to believe it was a case of racial profiling. When she visits the library, she feels the cold hard truth that she her dad is potentially (Most likely) guilty.

I think this because it mentions that everyone turns on her and that in the beginning, she had a good start off and everybody liked her, but as mentioned everything went downhill.

In the book, Star girl, by Jerry Spinelli states that one of the characters, "Star Girl" finally goes to high school, But suddenly get's weird stares for being "HER" then soon,Susan thinks she's too "fake" To be acting "herself", maybe because it's high school? Star girl is one of those girls who are very sweet and kind but gets bullied for being "Her". This makes me think she can't be acting all "Nice" or "Kind" in high school. Does she have autism?
