I brought two of my roommates along with me and we all had a really great time. The concert hall was completely full with audience members ready to see the Wind Symphony's first performance. They played four pieces including, "Bach's Fugue a la Gigue" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Hammersmith" by Gustav Holst, "Blue Shades" by Frank Ticheli, and Symphony No.8 "Unending Stream of Life" by David Maslanka. Each piece was performed beautifully by the symphony and four different conductors. My favorite piece of the night was Holst's "Hammersmith", as it was one of the coolest things to hear live.
