  • Students who want to pursue this career should take courses like toxicology, chemistry, and biology.

  • Some pros to becoming a pharmacologists would be the high salary, the flexibility of the job, and job security. The pharmacologists are compensated to the work that they do. The salary is very high for a pharmacologist that just graduated college. 
  • Some cons would be the extent of school that has to be attended just so that someone can get their degree or their license just so they can get a job as in the field. Also sometimes the duties that pharmacologists have are not constant throughout all the jobs, this would require them to learn something new every time they switch jobs.

  • I am interested in this field of work because some of my family members are pharmacologists or they work in the medical field. This field also interests me because I want to work with the drugs that some people almost take everyday.

  • This is due to their scientific work that is required in the lab. 
  • They have to conduct research on humans and other species so that they can work and this can only be done inside a lab.
  • The knowledge will applied rather than taught to other students.
