Here we go again; my existence scared them away.
A stupefied view of birds sitting, enjoying, and talking to one another with lots of chirping. I was standing still as never imagined something like this before. My one step ahead, and they all flew away. I felt as if I had crossed somebody's else territory. I thought I had done something wrong and wanted to apologise, but it was too late.
It reminds me of the Stolen Generation, where children were separated from their families. They still suffer at the hands of Australians. We all need to mend and apologies by Acknowledging and giving respect to the custodians of this land.

Gentle Playful Mischiefs (Creative Response)

Going on my country visit and looking at these two beautiful mischiefs, Ducks and Birds; my mind resonated with distant thoughts.

If I were a bird, which one would I be,

One that could fly to the highest tree?

Or would I prefer to swim with the fish,

Maybe eat my food from a little dish.

The best thing of all is being able to fly,

Up and away, high up in the sky.

I am Luminous!

Looking at these luminous clouds reminds me how much they resemble the thoughts in my mind! Both change perpetually from one second to another. I can sit under these clouds daily and count hundreds of shapes and shades. Birds love to fly and touch these clouds, saying hello and flying around. They constantly waft across the sky, sometimes blocking the sun, sometimes bringing rain and sleet. These clouds seem to have their own mood and personalities. From time to time, it feels like they are kissing each other.
As I look at these clouds, they always create drama, keep moving and talking to each other, sometimes quietly and sometimes with anger showing with thundering sound. They have their music band and keep playing it with their mood. Clouds are just like children, full of play and music.

This reminds me of deep inner listening, which enlightened my body with peace and calm.

Sky, "I can colour you in my shades!"

The sky is some sort of roof sitting on top of us. It treats us all equally, whether it's trees or water. What a magical moment the sky connected with the water by creating its reflection. The sky loves to show affection to water by showing its consideration and making it more beautiful. Seeing this love, even the water animals like ducks, frogs etc., feel more attached to water.
Connection helps in bringing movement. Clouds moving in the sky create unimaginable drawings, and ducks swimming on the top originate different shades. The swish sound of the wind, ducks quacking and the pitch of other creatures in the lake engulfs the environment with a soothing melody.

This sky reflection reminds me of 'The Mindful senses-Light' and how the light changes our perspective.

The walking family

A family of three, walking through the wind, using full force while supporting each other, pushing and holding one another using their branches and leaves. 'Keep walking; we are almost there!' that's how they are motivating and encouraging. They are making a different swish sound which feels like a rhythm in itself.
I strongly agree with author Catherine Hamm (Walking with Place). She has mentioned to know and understand the land of Aboriginals; we need to build that deep connection with trees, rocks and rivers.

What am I?

Who is that? I thought when I saw that duck with the neck and face in the water. I screamed, "A Beaver!"
Looking at that mischievous creature as a child, I had lots of questions:
How come this duck doesn't sink in the water when it has just two legs?
Why do they keep dipping their neck and face inside?
How do they know there is something to eat in that water?
Do they don't feel cold in water?
Is this the mummy duck, as the others are small?
Children are always fascinated by how ducks dip their heads in the water and stick their tails up in the air.

I can look at this beautiful creation of God for hours. They talk to eat other, and sometimes, without saying a quack, it feels like they can listen to each other's emotions. Lots of movement was around me when I was at the creek; not just the duck but the trees, wind and clouds all were going through the action, which made me realise that they all know each other very well and are waiting for the rain to fill their movement with more happiness and music and sound.

Crystal water

I didn't know water could shine like a crystal. Here we go again, one more surprise of this Nature. Moving water with the reflection of blue sky made it look like a crystal lake. I felt like touching it but stopped thinking it would be gone forever. That's why these ducks liked to swim in this water, as they felt proud. The sound of this moving water brought peace to my mind and reminded me of the 'Dadirri - a reflection by Miriam', which conveys that the land is sacred and unique.

We are the Sea creatures

Every still thing or picture tells a story. I believe these different sizes of hollow branches are the sea creatures, like sharks, whales, dolphins, crocodiles and sea lions. They all are waiting for the rain to come and fill them back with energy so they can swim and spend their everyday life. Everyone has their assumptions about pictures and still things.
As a child, I used to scream shark, crocodile etc., looking at these logs and starting to jump on them while holding a stick, pretending it was a sword, fighting against these sea creatures and asking my friends to join in this pretend play.

Children make their own stories and learn from them. It expands children's horizons of thinking, increases their memory and fires up their imaginations.
