The particles vibrated less vigorously when the temperature went down and the kinetic energy was lesser and the forces of attraction were lower too. The particles moved closer to each other too. This is because when the temperature gets lower, the particles loses energy, thus causing the volume of matter to decrease.

VICTORIATOH(MEMBER A)MELTINGThe water particles found in the solid form of water have a strong force of attractionand is arranged in a orderly manner and vibrates vigorously and hence resulting the water particles having low kinetic energy. But when the water particles starts to gain heat through the process of melting, the solid slowly changes into a liquid and the water particles start to have weaker forces of attraction and move freely, sliding over one another and start to arrange disorderly .The particles starts to move more vigorously resulting in the water particles' kinetic energy to increase, causing the volume of the water to increase a little. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------JENNAEDISON(MEMBER B)BOILINGThe water particles at liquid state are have strong forces of attraction and are arranged in a disorderly manner while being closely packed while they move freely and slide over one another and have low kinetic energy . When the water particles start to boil and change into gas, the temperature increases and the gas particles start to have weaker forces of attraction and move far away from one another in a disorderly manner and start to move randomly at high speed in all directions over long distances resulting the gas particles to have high kinetic energy.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OLIVIATAN(MEMBER C)CONDENSINGAs the state of the substance is gas, the particles' forces of attraction are very weak, and the particles are very far apart from each other in a disorderly manner , moving vigorously and randomly at high speed resulting the kinetic energy of the water particles being very high. However after losing heat, the gas condenses into water droplets and the water particles found in the water droplets start to have stronger forces of attraction and they start to get closely packed in a disorderly manner, and start to move freely by sliding over one another resulting the water particles to have a lower kinetic energy as they become liquid from gas.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------JESSICATRAN(MEMBER D)FREEZINGThe water particles at liquid state have strong forces of attraction and are arranged in a disorderly manner while being closely packed while they move freely and slide over one another and have low kinetic energy. When the liquid starts to freeze and lose heat, the water particles start to change into solid state and the water particles start to have stronger forces of attraction and start to arrange in an orderly manner and remain closely packed. However the water particles start to vibrate in their fixed position hence causing their kinetic energy to be low. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
